You can't place this performance on one player -- or lack thereof -- but I feel like trolling each and every "Bench Pierce for Green" thread right now.

The Captain is still far and away our best offensive player.

Pierce has had his fair share of bad shooting nights this year as well.

And all the "we're better without Rondo," and "why doesn't Doc play the new guys on 10 day contracts," and etc etc. Oh, wait, I read here we'd be down even more with Rondo. ::)

Jeff Green is never going to amount to anything. He is a complimentary player

He's your classic utility guy. Nice player but just not good enough at any one thing to be a good starter in the league.

How is this Jeff Greens fault? He was the only aggressive guy tonight.

Get that BS outta here.

I cannot agree with that. Green is going to be solid. Tonight is no indication of what he can do - we have seen it.

The Captain is still far and away our best offensive player.

Pierce has had his fair share of bad shooting nights this year as well.

True, but he still has a positive effect in other areas if he doesn't shoot well

The team is playing like crap. Of course Pierce is our best offensive player, but with this team performance, we'd be losing even with him AND Rondo.

Maybe Sully...

Even when Pierce has bad shooting nights, he tends to contribute in other ways, like with rebounds and assists.  Also, he's rarely one of the guys sleep-walking out there (although, like with all players, I'm sure it happens from time to time.)

All he can do is score. He holds the ball way to long and rarly finds an open man

Yeah, I'm sure we win this game if only rondo was there. Cause you know, rondo always gets up for games like these.  ::)
