Wait, so you jump into someone, who's going straight up, and that's a foul against them?

Looked like he was in the restricted area to me.  But yeah - straight up, with deandres left arm pushing down on him.

His tweet after the game was pretty funny...

It wasn't in the scouting reports that the clippers threw lobs lol

Haha thats great. I think its more impressive that Jordan made the free throw to complete the three point play lol.

low standards  ;D

Hell of a dunk though, a lot of contact absorbed.

While very nice...overrated on many levels.

Brandon knight is a flat out short scrub who is routinely embarrassed in the NBA. If it was on Greg Monroe, different story.
But honestly ya gotta give him credit for the defensive effort on a guy a foot taller then him...Jordan just happened to finish.

When you do that on Dwight Howard, I will be impressed.

When you do that on a PG, you need to have gone cleanly over his head to impress me.

That's wild athleticism for a 7 footer but no way that was a foul
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Unless you call it on Jordan. The refs put on blinders when the Clips go up for dunks. The number of Blake Griffin dunks that were blatant offense fouls is absurd.

Brandon Knight is not having a good year being on the wrong end of highlights:

Then I shall be impressed for the both of us!

Pretty nice poster here:

Gotta say though, it always bugs me that this is what gets mocked.  Sure it looks bad for the guy getting dunked on, but I have a lot more respect for a player who tries to break up the play or at least foul the guy than for a player who ducks out of the way so he doesn't get embarrassed.

Like Perk said after his Griffin dunk, it's the NBA - you will get dunked on.  Just dust yourself off and keep playing hard.

I have never ever seen someone draw an offensive foul without their feet on the ground outside of the jumpshot-kick or the kobe-follow-through-elbow.

Surprised I didn't see a single mention of this on Sportscenter this morning. They chose instead to devote a considerable amount of air time to the OKC-Boston game.

I've seen quite a few called for the fend-off move with the off-arm - KG drew a foul on Ibaka for this yesterday.  That's probably the most common mid-air offensive foul by far.

But yeah, your general point is spot-on: the principle of verticality basically doesn't exist in today's NBA, if it ever did to begin with.

Everytime Jeff Green posterizes someone off the dribble its not a foul despite clear body contact, then a muppet like deandre jordan catches an alley oop its an immediate whistle, just because he's a member of "lob city".

Ridiculous.

Why is it that every thread turn into either a 'poor Jeff Green' or 'Rajon is the man' grievance trash can?

A great dunk. I think it can be left at that.
