We didn't need the OKC game to prove that. Still, if we can slow down OKC on offense we can slow down anyone. Its our offense I'm worried about.

It just looked like the Celtics didn't come to play today.

They had a TON of turnovers.

Today was actually a very winnable game. No one on OKC played that great today (Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka.)

If anything, the one who hit the most important shots today were Kevin Martin and Reggie Jackson

I disagree with that completely. A team that doesn't come to play doesn't play defense the way the celtics played defense today. They came to play, they just didn't play well. *On offense anyways*

It also shows we are turnover prone

Are you freaking kidding me? Since Rondo's injury, we've been one of the most turnover-efficient teams in the league.

Pierce is by far our best scorer... Green is fantastic as well.  But when we play OKC or the Heat, those two are going to have their hands full expending a ton of energy defending Durant and LeBron.  In those games, you're going to need the guards to step up big on the offensive end.  Tonight the guards didn't step up.  Simple as that.

AB stepped up as much as anyone could hope to today... the energy expelled putting the clamps on Westbrooke was excellent and he was efficient on offense.

AB- 12pts (5-10 1-1 from 3 and 1-2ft),  5 assist, 3rbs, a stl, and 1 turnover.

RW- 15pts (5-11 1-2 from 3 and 4-6ft), 2 assist, 1rb, 2stls, 1 block, 3 turnovers.

AB stepped up!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Our starters weren't far behind theirs. Our bench cost us today. Celts were always a high turn over team. Game showed we can compete with the likes of Ok.

Which is where the Celtics will miss Rondo the most...he was by far their biggest mismatch against the Heat.

His last 11 games vs Miami: 19.8 points, 12.6 assists, 7.2 rebounds, .505 FG%

Can you really count on Lee/Bradley/Terry to consistently step up offensively in the playoffs?

I think they also lost because Doc had them forcing it to KG when Perk had him too well covered.

Not just the players, but the coaches also need to trust their ball-movement offense even (or especially) for big games.

Green was too tight with the return to OKC.  Let's hope that's not a reflection of how he'll play in big games too!

JET was forcing shots too, which you never want to see.

Lee and Bradley were playing within themselves on offense, and IMO the team needs to go more to them for shots, not just to their old guys and Green.

We could not make two with a pencil, our d was great.  Our late game offensive was offensive.   It didn't help OKC were like given a zillion FTAs but no one could score down the stretch.

Defense was solid all day.

Ball quit moving in the fourth quarter - for a moment, I thought Rondo was back - and that's the genesis of the offensive problems.

We are not a great offensive team, and if the ball isn't on the move finding shots on its own we're going to have trouble scoring.

One game, not going to get overwrought about it. Every team has bad offensive nights.

You thought Rondo was back, Coach Bo?

Are you aware we had a zillion TO's?   With RR we'd won this game.
