That is a ver big "if", not going to happen as I see it, I would love being wrong but I don't see us winning it all.

I hope the team doesn't have the same attitude.

Actually, this one would mean a bit more to me.

I can go outside my home and not have my young, band-wagon riding, homer neighbor crowing about the Heat.....smiling in my face as I'm at the gym...can't get away from him. ;D

I want a Heat-Less Summer....get er' done, BOS!!

As long as Green, Terry and the bench continue to gain their confidence, the Heat will have a hard time against us.

It would still feel pretty special to win a championship with this group. I'm still happy for the 08 team, with guys like the Big Three and even Sam Cassell and PJ Brown, those guys deserved the rings.

It would mean more because you can say I told you so to other Celtics fans and not just everyone else.

That wouldn't separate this title from 2008. If you were here then, before the team had played a game, there was a fairly large number of people who felt that the team Danny had assembled would top out at ecf contender. I don't recall a single "I told you so" post after they won, I guess all the happiness got in the way of the pettiness.

Was anyone really doubting half-way through that season?

Sure, people were doubting going into the playoffs. Most of the experts expected the Celts to lose at some point in the playoffs and do better the following season after they'd gained more experience playing together.

Don't remember that being the case at all, only when we struggled against Atlanta in the playoffs did the doubts really come about.

Going into the playoffs, considering how dominant our defense was and how efficient our offense was, there was no reason to doubt our team.

I'd say so. We were the favorites to win in 2008, so even though it meant a lot, this year would definitely top it just because we would be huge underdogs. Losing so many players due to injury then beat Miami would be so sweet. I'd love to see Pierce and Garnett ride off in the sunset with a championship. A championship this year would be so much sweeter after all the adversity this team has endured. I'd cry like a baby.

Don't see enough of Tim Legler on ESPN.

One of the most fair-minded analysts out there....perhaps THAT's why I don't see him on there.

It's great to win when you aren't expected to, but I don't think it would mean more than 2007-8.   As others have said, 07-08 was special for many reasons, including beating LA.

If the C's pull off the miracle this year I have to believe they will have received a good amount of help.  This would come via underdogs knocking off Miami and/or OKC/SAS, and/or key opponent injuries.  This wouldn't diminish the thrill of victory, but not sure it would add to the meaning.

I'd predicted that we'd win in '09-10, and we only lost that last game due to a few freethrows.

Thus, if in the final 10-15 games of the season, we can indicate a type of Fo'Fo'Fo' mentality, then it's very doable, even this year.
