:o Bradley is crossing over, breaking ankles, and throwing it down emphatically in this video. I know it's only high school, but why does his game now mostly consist of pull up jumpers if he is capable of doing everything in that video?

Ahh the old "WHY ISNT HE MORE LIKE HIS MIXTAPE?!?!" question.

He is playing against, bigger, faster, stronger opponents that play better defense.

Watch josh selby's mixtapes and then see that he can't get a game in the NBA. The standard is pretty high in this league, especially for guards right now.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Hate to break it to you, but most NBA players were lighting it up in their own respective High Schools.

Steve Novak showed off some nifty drives to the hoop in his scouting video.

Because the guys in the NBA are extremely talented. If you get a chance, watch DJ Whites workout video at nba.com it'll show you how talented these guys are. In college you play against these guys and they are decent but they'll miss shots and some aren't that fast, when you go to the nba camps to tryout these guys don't miss shots and are killing you on wind sprints.  It's just amazing. Also look at what a guy like Scalabrine or Shavlik Randolph did overseas.

The NBA is like the Filter of talented ball players.
They're all fantastic in High School, they get trimmed off in College, and the really good ones get to the NBA, the great ones stay in the NBA.

Bradley was pulling A.I crossovers in that video haha...but yea man the talent in High School just isn't that good. If you pull up his college highlights i seriously doubt he was doing all of those crossovers in the Big 12. Bradley is going to stay in the league a long time because of one reason "defense". if he can knock down that 18 footer though he will extend his career dramatically.

However with all that said, the kid is only 22. He would be a senior in college right now and one thing he still has is speed. If he can work on some first step moves with a pull up jumper/layup i think he has the potential to be a decent scorer in this league (15-17ppg) in a few years. I don't see Bradley becoming a primetime scorer though, but hopefully he proves me wrong.

Seems like he had that little mean streak/nastiness/intensity in high school as well.

Don't get me wrong, i totally understand the difference in talent from high school, to college, to the NBA, but Jamal crawford still crosses over and uses the dribble to his advantage. Not saying Avery has the handles that Crawford has, but whenever i see Avery dribble the ball now he looks uncomfortable. If a guy has a good handle in high school, or college, shouldn't they also have a good handle in the pros?

Avery's interview I think from after Philly game (I think)... reporter: were you a great scorer in high school? Avery: *smacked his teeth* "High school? Man of course, EVERYBODY IN HERE WAS *looks away while laughing*, that's why we're in the NBA!" all while looking at the reporter like it was the dumbest question ever! Look he gave was priceless.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Yip, this. In any case, he was EXPECTED to dominate the offense in high school since he (or an NBA player) was the best on his team. NBA offenses are generally not built around one player. .

His dunks today are reminiscent of his high-school days. Time flies.

But yeah, true. Even Steimsma was what, 3-time MVP of his league and led his DIII to three consecutive championships. Many of these players could average 50/30/30 and not make the NBA team.

VERY HIGH LEVEL OF PLAY, to say the least ;)
