I saw the logo somewhere else and din't pay it any mind. didn't know they were changing names. Who wants to play for a team called the Pelicans? They're better off leaving them as the Hornets.

I know this is a bad example but Utah, theres nothing Jazzy about Utah at all, but it works.

The Jazz franchise started out in New Orleans, hence the "jazz" connection ... a big reason for keeping the name at the time was a desire to not dis the original fanbase, and add the new fans from Utah. Still kind of a weird decision, though.
