  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
TP.

Miss him too.  I wish him a quick recovery and for the remainder of his career to be relatively healthy.  We're going to need this guy to step up be the MAN once KG and Pierce retire.

TP!
Health is more important than anything for him right now.

It's charitable to wish Rondo good health. It is only his knee that is the problem, right? He must be wondering how we are playing so well without him. Never fear most Celtic fans already have him down as one of the All Time Greats. Another Great.

I think this run without him could end up being one of the most valuable and humbling moments of his career.

"Yes you are a great player and you're very valuable to this team, but no one is irreplaceable. Just because you CAN handle the ball for 40 minutes and be effective creating shots doesn't mean you should do that."

I'm hoping that him watching this team play without him is inspiring him to play with the fire defensively that he once had, I hope it leads to him trusting his teammates more with the ball, and I hope it leads to him cutting offensively with purpose so that his teammates can be allowed to set HIM up with easy baskets.

i actually feel the opposite.  i dont miss him at all and am really enjoying the hustle, grit, and team play.  i love seeing the ball move around via the pass rather than via the dribble.

not a knock on rondo, but i am enjoying not having him. i like rondo a lot, but he frustrates me bc i think he is capable of more

Definitely miss watching him play, hits the hardest when I see him in the commercials or highlights.

This has been some of the most enjoyable basketball since the championship season.

Rondo is a talented guy, but he is not the foundation of this team. He is a complementary part, and hopefully that's the message that comes from this injury.

Still believe - strongly - that he is a bad fit with this current group of Celtics, believe that's been pretty clearly demonstrated at this point and believe he should be shopped for a big in the off-season.

We will be fine with Bradley, Lee, et al.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Frankly, I just wish DA had been able to trade him while his value was somewhat high.  Now, if DA wants to trade him, people will be severely disappointed with what he can bring back.

It's charitable to wish Rondo good health.? He must be wondering how we are playing so well without him.

All he has to do is go back and take a  look at all those horrible games where he stood around pounding the ball,  turnovers, stupid plays, ect, boring the fans, putting HIS team to sleep ,  destroying team mates involvement  to contribute or play their part to the max.

Ray Allen laughing ...I told you so.

DA should fire Doc if Rondo is allowed to return to that ball holding style dead pan play.

If Rondo isn't allowed to be Rondo, how valuable will he really be?

And I'm officially bummed that even threads about missing his play are now cause to push for his trade and/or say people are glad he's off the court. I guess this thread will just get merged with the big thread in a few posts.

I miss (or will soon be missing) "playoff" Rondo.

I do not miss the regular season ball pounding, advance the ball with the dribble rather than the pass, go for the steal instead of staying in front of your man and thereby leaving your teammate in the lurch Rondo.

Rondo is like that person that we all know that can be so much more most of the time, but chooses to be that person only some of the time. Too stubborn for his own and his team's good.
