This is just an idea I've heard being tossed around..
Being a partial tear, and Rondo being a tough guy

What if we got to say, the ECSF, would you want him coming back, at say 30%? He would just stand at the top of the key, make a few passes and play maybe 20mpg.

I wouldn't be surprised if he came back during the Playoffs, even given the severity of a torn ACL. But I think Doc/DA will prolly say "NO, SIT DOWN" because it could destroy his (and the Celtics') future. Who knows?

I knew I was coming into a troll thread when I clicked it. Needed to confirm.

If for some bizarre reason you were serious, no, I would not even want a coach coaching at 30%. It's a two-way game, in the make believe world he was allowed to play at that poor mobility, he'd get shredded on D significantly worse than he usually does.

I accepted the bait, shame on me.

look at derrick rose, even though his was not a partial tear, ACLs usually take a little while. 8 months for adrian peterson was seen as super quick.

a quick recovery for rondo would be to return for training camp.

Oops, sorry.

I could've sworn I saw people in this forum suggesting that, which is why I brought this up -.-

I, for one, wouldn't want him to reinjure himself, ruining the rest of his career. How bad is an ACL injury after 3 months? (I've never had one, so I'd like some perspective)

I do think Rondo is the type of person to push himself and will be back sooner than most.

Sully scares me with eating and not working out......LoL

AP's return was so quick, steroid or PED speculation is almost becoming a necessity, even though there is no evidence to support it.

If Rondo came back for the playoffs Id expect him to be soley dining on human pituitary glands and nothing else.

It depends. If we make the playoffs next year then I think he'll be back by then.  ;)

Ironically, I thinks its realistic that Sully would be ready by mid May though he wouldn't be if he had a fusion. Otherwise he would be ready. 4 months on a low back surgery should be enough. If we get a surprise like that Id expect we see him by late March and the rumors start
