Not sure why the magic are waiving him. Am prejudiced in his favor because we went to the same H.S. He is not as Strong as DJ White; but certainly more experienced.

C's evidently also passed on bringing Jjuan Johnson back. Seems Danny is in no more Mr. Nice Guy mode. So far seems to be working!

Magic cut Warrick to save money, I think?

I believe Johnson can't return to the Celtics before July 1, 2013, as they traded him away in the offseason.

my intuition tells me the Celts should sign Warrick.  But the right 7 footer could easily extinguish my intuition....

I think he essentially is a slighter Chris Wilcox. I would like to see this team add some beef, but if this can't be found I would be fine bringing him in.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I would give him a 10 day contract. He actually played really well when Nash was around in Phoenix.

If the C's sign DJ White for a 10 day vs. Warwick this is not exactly a lot more beef. Yes White may have 10 lbs on Warwick; but in terms of experience no comparison.

If Danny is truly going for young players with future potential I think this is a pretty big change of philosophy and one that maybe he should have gone to earlier. As much as I like Barbosa and Terry would rather have kept Etwuan Moore or brought in someone like T-Will earlier.

Kick the tires!  Put him and White on 10 day contracts and let them compete for the spot. We do need a seven footer though, and realistically, a true point guard while we're at it, guess we'll see what Danny goes with.

I would probably take him over White if I had to pick right now.

I'm guessing there will be sufficient demand for Warrick so that he can choose who he lets give him a regular contract for the rest of the season.

I've liked Warrick since his Syracuse days, and he is certainly more talented than DJ White.  However, we already have Jeff Green who is stepping up so they do not need to add another undersized front court player.  Strange as it may sound, they need to replace Jason Collins, hopefully with another 7-footer who actually has an offensive game, but if not then another big body who will play defense, take up some space, and grab a few rebounds. Eric Dampier anyone?

Please, let's not add any more slow players to this squad. Keep adding mobility with length, it would help us plenty more.

Rather try and get whiteside. Young, athletic, rebounder, shot blocker, 7' tall.

Whiteside finally got some real PT last night and stuffed the stat sheet.

29 minutes, 13 pts, 15 rebs, and 4 blocks.

Dont know about Whiteside. He has always intrigued me, but for some reason he has never been able to establish him self to his fullest.

I like a starting 5  of kg, green, pierce, lee, Bradley with terry crawford Williams and Wilcox in the reserve roles. If we added whiteside I've would be battling bass for the last rotation spot.
I'd rather see what the 7' shot blocker does for our d then watch bass flail around our there.
