I like Golden State, they are easily my second favorite team. However, they are facing my favorite team and the distance between second and first on that list is huge.

So for the first time this year I will not be enjoying watching Golden State do what they do. This is a winnable game for Boston, but they absolutely have to get into the paint. If they let the Warriors own the paint, it will be another blowout.

The Warriors own the paint and the three point line and the result is clearly evident on the scoreboard.

sounds like every [dang] game we play in now. groundhog day over and over and over. I guess the nets game on the 25th was a fluke  or an anomaly eh?

Do you guys remember when we were good? Like 2 seasons ago when we went on that 14 game winning streak at the beginning of the season? Seems like so long ago...
Even earlier this season. They were playing much better than this.

This period is the worst they have played all year.

By period do you mean this quarter or this stretch of games?
This stretch of games. This has been a really awful run of games for Boston.

No performances from Pierce, Garnett or Terry. No chance of winning.

Already short-handed without Rondo, Bradley, Barbosa and Wilcox. No chance of winning.

they are all OLD < SLOW , and tired ....no energy.

pierce and green are combined 2 for  18. this is a petrid shooting game by the celtics.  :(

their defense has been better than the score i thought. GS is making its shots, so i give them credit.

at this stage, i just dont see the celtics as a strong team.

but there is still a half left. go celtics!  ;D
they are playing good defense on us that's why, still we arent helping our case no movement, not aggressive, look spent with no confidence. Now on the other hand they are hitting everything because our defense is DISGUSTING, bottom line. We can't defend for squat.

They should go to Sullinger in the post a lot more in the 2nd half, play inside out offense and slow the game down.
no way doc's abandoning his favorite iso plays for effective plays. change is not in his arsenal.

but, but, but i read here all the time doc is  GREAT coach.

I think this whole team ...minus SULLY and joseph needs to go to the D-LEAGUE  INCLUDING GLENN RIVERS.

Put Sully and Joseph on the Red Claws and they could best the Celtics.
i totally agree!!!!

There it is. The defense hasn't been that bad. Golden state just hitting their shots. Funny how it happens almost every game against a good team.

On the (sort of) brightside, there isn't much competition for that 8th seed.

So they should be pretty safe for a playoff appearance even if this rut carries on for awhile.

I agree with you either way. Just wanted to clarify.

Looks like this might be another game where I expected at least a decent effort out of our team, but won't get one.

I feel terrible for my friend, a C's fan living in San Fran who's at the game tonight.

Credit and major props to Mark Jackson and Vinny Del Negro.  Two coaches whose heads were clearly on the chopping block last year - but two outstanding coaches this year, and proving all the naysayers wrong.

IF THEY ARE TIRED ALREADY this early in the season then we may as well blow this baby up now then if you understand my point here.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
I have a question for you guys :

Is Golden State a legit team?

Could they make noise in the playoffs?

I like Marcus Smart
