I was reading today and it seems like Nene isn't happy in Washington.

His contract is pretty massive and longterm but he's only 30. Not sure what the Wizards would want for him but at 13M we could salary match easier than Gasol/Stoudemire. You have to think the asking price for Nene would be lower than Josh Smith.

Would you guys want Nene if the price was Green/Bass/Lee/Sully for Nene/Ariza?

I'd love to keep Sully in that trade if we could, because otherwise we have no PF depth.

More obtainable than Nene, I think, is Okafor. I mentioned this in another trade... Green, Bass, Melo for Okafor, Webster works great for both teams.

Nene could really help us, Okafor not so much.

I'd love Nene, but no deal is there to be had unless Washington takes back both Green and Bass, and what sense do that make for them?

Both are better than Washington's starting forwards.

If Perk and even Semih Erden can look great next to KG, Okafor will look like an all-star, and would't cost us Bradley or Sullinger. I would trade Lee, Bass, and Melo for Okafor in a heartbeat.

Maybe if Bass went to a third team and Washington got an expiring contract instead. Plus some picks / prospects in addition to Jeff Green.

Not until Jeff Green gets some consistency. You know who is having a better year than Jeff Green right now? Martell Webster. Think about that for a second.

Already looked at that link this afternoon ;). You and I are on the same page. However, I'd rather have Greens 15pts/36min and .430 shooting over Webster's 12pts/36min and .420 shooting. Admittedly not a huge difference, but their rebounds, steals, blocks, and assists are all within 1 of each other, and Green's potential (when starting) is higher.

Plus, the lowly Wizards have 2 starting-quality centers. It makes tons of sense to move one of them.

EDIT. Darn. I didn't look at TS%. I guess Webster has the edge there.

The only problem i have with Nene is he plays on a day-to-day basis. His plantar fasciitis is a concern to me.

Im a little hesitant to pull the trigger on a guy who was immediatley dumped by his former team right after signing a huge multi-year contract. Something about that trade was really fishy and it almost seemed like Denver was done with him dictating when he would or wouldn't play.

He's been a little more steady this year but again he missed a lot of the beginning of the season. He reminds me too much of JO. Far more talented though.

Green, Bass, and Melo plus picks for Nene and filler(if they want)

That's the ONLY trade I would consider giving our pieces to theirs
This gives us size and rebounding plus scoring in the paint
Losing Bass allows Sully to get minutes, and Bradley comes back to start
Back in the market for the next Pierce but that's never changed even with Green here
Can't stop, Rondo!

I reckon both could do well here I reckon we could get okafor for less and almost just a Bass lee trade with maybe some picks thrown in. Probably a better defensive presence in the paint than Nene is and her doesnt come in with plantar fasciaitis and a MASSIVE contract
