Pierce needs to stop trying to play like he's 28.

rondo is a great shooter He is slowly developing his 3-pt shot. He is not the same player of 2 or 3 years ago. He is elite in every facet of the game.

he is NOT a great jump shooter. he is getting better though which we desperately need. that will open up more dribble drives and dishes from him.

I have a feeling that we'll make a push and have a nice lil run and cut it down to 9 or 8, and then Doc will put Pierce back in the lineup, and it will destroy the comeback push.

I hope I'm wrong

Does Doc coach or is he just a robot?  I mean, substitute Garnett based on how he looks, not just an automatic ridiculously short time limit.  If you spare him so much time before the fourth quarter, well, guess what?  You're going to be in a lot of tight games or behind a lot.
the longer you play KG the less effective he is. This game has nothing to do with him though as a team we just stink right now.

Based on what?

Nobody plays the minute pattern Garnett does.  It was patterned after how Carlisle used Nowitzki the year the Mavs won the championship but it was flexible.  It certainly didn't have Dirk play 4.5 minutes and then sit for 7.5 minutes.  The Mavs could also survive Dirk sitting because they had Chandler and offensive firepower.

What is Doc saving KG for?  I don't know.  You know what's ridiculous.  You can't play like this team has only championship aspirations while being absolute mediocre at best.  Just play him.  He doesn't have many years left.  Just let him go.  I'm not talking about 40 minutes.  Let him go 8 minute stretches.  Duncan and Kobe and other well conditioned athletes do.

He will help with our defensive woes that's for sure

It's only a 15 point game. A quick run. Get it below 10.

Game will tighten up. Anything could happen from there. Need to make that first run.

We are in trouble.

Quoted for truth. Simply not a good team.

Embarrassing

embarrassing is right, Vinnie.

we may eventually improve and sort out some chemistry and rhythym from this hodge-podge collection of players Danny has thrown together - but i don't see the defense developing to the level that this group used to play at.

very, very painful to watch right now.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

We are going to be 2-5 in our last 7 games - and the strong Warrior team is awaiting us.  The schedule moving forward will be tough.  If we lose to the Kings (a real possibility) how much more of a leash will Doc have, and will Danny awake from his slumber, stop drinking the Kool-Aid and realize we have a flawed basketball team?

Again, I don't even enjoy watching this team play basketball...  They even lack entertainment value, let alone the fact they stink.

Stop putting this on this Danny. This  team was built to compete but with Doc's refusal to play Darko,  we lost a key component of this team that has lead to the product you see out there on  the court. If anyway needs to be harangued in all of this, it's Doc by FAR.

So you're saying Darko Milicic on the court makes our team contenders...
I'm going to bed.

Hint: this team hasn't been a contender since 2010.

Darko does get us back to the ECF I'd bet you though. You think we get past the 2nd round this year  as currently constructed?
Offense sells tickets, Defense wins games, Rebounds win championships.
