I miss Ray.  I wish there had been a way to keep him.
Me too, even though I was uber PO'd when he opted to go.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Good riddance to Ray. He will choke in the playoffs like he does every year. He is somehow known as one of the most clutch players in the game; however, he is always ridiculously bad when it really matters.

I am happy he was here and happy we won a championship with him, but he was too much of a diva. Choosing to take half as much money to go to the Celts' rivals says it all.

Who? I used to know a player by that name but they're dead to me.

It really isn't that hard to figure out if you watch the games.  He does NOT have to run off any screens.  He just stands there wide open waiting as teams double up James, Wade, and Bosh.  I bet he ran more in one Celtics' game when with us than he does in 5 Heat games combined!!!!!

And OMG, he beat the mighty Cavs at home at the buzzer and a mighty Spurs team with 6 of their top 7 NOT playing.

Who cares???????????????????????????????????

He could NOT do that for us because he is NO LONGER fast enough to get open on his own, which he would HAVE to do here.

Why does EVERYONE think that the Heat are playing so great, yet are barely beating teams that many NBADL teams are better than at HOME and at the end of close games.

If the Heat were smart they'd leave him on the bench until they need those last second shots. The Heat get outscored when Ray plays but seem to do pretty well when he's on the bench.

Ray always seems to start the seasons off HOT and then slows down as it goes on...just look at last year and the year before.

What in the world did you possibly expect?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Agreed Smitty. It always seems that when certain players just get signed or are playing for the Celtics, nobody is really that interested in them. It's only when they move onto another team, that they are suddently missed (Ray Allen, Tony Allen, Pietrus, etc.)

  • Let's Go Celtics!
I miss the "old" Ray Allen, not the diva he's developed into.

This.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

As long as he doesn't hit any vs BOS I'm good.
