Wow. Another reason why I'm scared that Rondo is our main offensive option.

KEEP. YOUR. COOL. I know Humphries started it but take it out on the scoreboard!

But hey atleast the streak is over and Rondo can now focus on playing the game the way team wants him too.

Naw, Pierce is
Celtics just need to have Lee and Barbosa just have to bring the ball up and set the offense

Were you not watching what I was watching?! The Nets forced easy turnovers when those two were in the game!!

for some odd reason, I have a feeling we're going to run into Brooklyn in the playoffs, and it won't be pretty for the Nets...

What Rondo did was wrong, but Humphries put his hands on KG first and shouldn't have done that.
I will give him something that he stands up for his teammates and has their back, but he shouldn't have done that. Now his streak is over and the team may lose(unless they come together and win the next half).

This is the right time of the year to do what Rondo did. I'm so glad that happened and him and KG showed the rest of the team not to take crap from anyone.

TP. This is the time of year for a team galvanizing-I_got_your_back move.

He took a shot at KGs head while he was in the air.  That's a flagrant.

Rondo did the right thing.  You can't let guys punk your guys and get away with it.  We're losing by 20.  You need to make a statement that you're not going to roll over.

Amateurish.

Go follow womans basketball.  This is a mans sport.  You do not let your teammates take shots to the head while in the air go unpunished.

Rondo went up against a guy 8 inches and 100 pounds bigger than him and destroyed him.

People who are going to gripe about Rondo doing this are the same that praise Bird for going to war for his teammates and laying it all on the line.  You can't have it both ways.

Rondo has the same mentality as Bird.  I will take that any day.

Of course it's that way. Men's basketball, as you said.
That doesn't change the whole thing, though.
It's still amateurish. Anyone with little average reason wouldn't do that.

Anyone with any semblance of competitive spirit disagrees with you.

I bet Scal is for it.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Rondo being ejected aside I have to respect him for at least having KG's back like that.
He will get criticized and called all types of names, but I bet a lot of players would love to have that teammate that will have your back no matter what.

So can we put the whole "Rondo only cares about the streak" thing to rest now?  His teammate got hit in the face, Rondo got mean, and as others in this thread have said, sort of Larry Birdish.  Rondo knew what he was doing and streak or not, he wasn't going to let that stand.  If you want to blame anyone, blame the refs for letting it get out of hand by not calling anything on anyone wearing a black jersey for nearly a whole half of basketball.

Sorry to the naysayers - but I love the fact that our point guard just went after a guy way bigger than him.  That's my freakin boy.  Immature?  I don't care.  We need to get tougher, and if you have to take a few swings and suspensions to get that going, then so be it.
TP...= YAY-yo....heat of the moment...!

So, I assume all Rondo supporters would be fine if he did the same thing and got ejected for nothing in a critical playoff game, too.
Because if he did it today, there's no way to guarantee that he's going to be able to keep his cool tomorrow.

Rondo instigated the brawl. League going to come down hard on Rondo. Brawl is a a serious despite the fact no punches were thrown.

It wasn't a brawl though. I didn't even see a punch thrown. This wont be that big of a deal. Maybe a 1-2 game suspension for Rondo. All he did was shove a guy.

A scuffle? nonetheless League has zero tolerance for stuff like that. They spend years cleaning up the image of the league following the Malice in the Palace

This right here.  While the C's have been running in different directions the whole game (or even the season thus far) and this sort of thing has the possibility of galvanizing the team and pulling them together.
