idk why everyone is so convinced that we're going to lose to the thunder... We'll have had a days rest as well as five days of not having to step foot on a plane, and we wont have to conserve fuel considering we arent playing a decent team for another five days.

I predict that rondo and our new guns (If not the entire team) will take this game very seriously.

I'm feeling bullish on this team; I think the league is gonna be sleeping on this bunch a little bit.

I'm gonna go with 14-2.  I think the team record by Christmas is gonna look a lot like the start of 2011, but not quite as dominant as the start of 2009.

our biggest problem has been size for a while... so naturally we signed 8 undersized shooting guards.

Exaggerating a tiny bit, but we'll see... I'm definitely excited to see what happens.

11-5. I think we win some games that we shouldn't, and we lose a couple that we shouldn't lose, as usual.
I agree we'll do something like beat the Heat opening night then lose to the Bucks or Wizarda

I'm gonna guess we'll be .500... 8-8... and everyone is going to overreact.  And then eventually we'll improve and make the playoffs.

8-7 It will take Doc > 20 games to get jelled. Especially defensively.

I really think they go and beat all the top teams they're playing and loses to teams they should beat.

11-5

They'll win most of those easier match-ups.

Blow an easy 1 or 2 because they actually won't start playing hard until the 4th quarter.

Win 1 one or 2 that you could see them losing to a particular team and be okay with it.

Back to wanting Joe fired.

We have 7 bigs (8 if you include Green), relax.

Not gonna predict a record, but I think we start off very strong.

unfortunately I'm not confident the defense is gonna be where Doc/ DA/  the fans and KG think it should be for a few months.... I think the return of AB will usher in the fine defensive game .

It could be that an increased offensive output might make up for a little of the poor defensive showing I anticipate.

BAring no injuries ,  I suppose I could live with 8-8 record.

So many NEW faces and so much to learn and practice.

Its going to take a while to get the whole show up and running.  We are gonna need AB eventually.

I think KG is our only starting-caliber big man and he's 37.  He's a darn good one, though.

After that, we have Bass and Sullinger who are both solid bench bigs, slightly undersized, and weak defensively.

I want another quality starting big.  We've been lacking that since Perk was traded and Shaq retired.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Here is the first 15 games. It's prediction time.

Tuesday, Oct. 30 @ Miami Heat Loss Win

Friday, November 2 Milwaukee Bucks Win

Saturday, November 3 @ Washington Wizards Win

Wednesday, November 7 Washington Wizards Win

Friday, November 9 Philadelphia 76ers Win

Saturday, November 10 @ Milwaukee Bucks WIn

Monday, November 12 @ Chicago Bulls WIn

Wednesday, Nov. 14 Utah Jazz Win

Thursday, November 15 @ Brooklyn Nets Loss Win

Saturday, November 17 Toronto Raptors Win

Sunday, November 18 @ Detroit Pistons Win

Wednesday, Nov. 21 San Antonio Spurs Win

Friday, November 23 Oklahoma City Thunder Loss

Sunday, November 25 @ Orlando Magic Win

Wednesday, Nov. 28 Brooklyn Nets Win

Friday, November 30 Portland Trail Blazers Loss Win

I think we go 11-4 with an opening loss to Miami. A second loss to Brooklyn at Home, a loss to OKC, and a loss to Portland.

My feeling is that we will still be developing some chemistry with some growing pains against the better teams.

(yes Brooklyn will be a force this season IMHO)

I don't buy the Brooklyn hype - still a lot of questions with that squad. They'll be a better team than they were last season, but not a force by any stretch.

As far as the Trailblazers, that's a win in my book. Not a ton of talent there right now outside of LA. Their rookies can be something, but not by the time we face them.

So I think we go 15-1 in November. Emotions will be high as we face the Miami, there will be tension. But I feel like we'll have the edge in terms of aggression - KG will be locked in. Rondo will be locked in. It's going to be quite the game, friends.

I don't think any prediction can be completely right without factoring in a couple of losses to teams we should beat.  Happens erry year.

I'm gonna say 11-5.  Sounds about right.
