The Mavericks have landed center Curry off waivers and will now look to waive or trade Delonte West, who is suspended from the team again.
Chris Kaman (calf) is iffy for the opener and Dirk Nowitzki is out (knee surgery), so the Mavs could use another big man. West has worn out his welcome in Dallas and is about to be cut, and it really doesn't matter who Curry signs with - he'll have no fantasy value.

A shame. Hope someone picks up Delonte, because without basketball in his life, he's a walking cautionary tale waiting to happen.

Major loss for Dallas. Delonte is arguably the Mavs best guard.

Tough break for someone as talented as Delonte. I remember being so excited for him to be back as a Celtic. Problem is he has too much baggage for a role player, and we're good enough as it is from the backcourt.

Hope he can get himself together and find someone who will take him.

I don't see how they could trade him. He was signed as a free agent this summer and can't be traded until December 15th. Why would they wait that long to trade a player who only gets paid the veterans' min.

I really hope that he gets picked up by a good organization.

The Lakers could really use him.

...but I also hope he gets picked up by a good organization.

Ideal fit for the Heat (that would really suck).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

After what happened between him and LeBron's mom do you think they'd still do it?

Delonte West has not been released by the Mavericks and there is a chance he could return to the team.
Mark Cuban will decide West's fate and says no decision has been made, and even left the door open for West to return. With the uncertainty surrounding West, Roddy Beaubois looks like a better fantasy option in deep leagues.
