Sorry I didn't read the interview yet but isn't it odd that he brings this trade up for one big reason?

He re-Signed with us the following year! So he was mad but then did us a favor and resigned but he's still mad about that and us almost trading him last year?

Since you didn't read the article, perhaps you are not aware perhaps that the context is that Ray claims Rondo first started having bad feelings towards him when he called up Rondo to tell him he needed to behave better so that they didn't get shipped out to Phoenix.

It's okay. I am watching Heat versus Wizards right now and Ray looks done. He is essentially a spot up shooter now, standing in one spot and waiting for the ball to get to him. He doesn't have the quickness and the mobility to take defenders off the dribble anymore. Any type of a slight contest will throw him off to miss. Defensively, his flaws are really exposed. It speaks volumes to how much the Celtics system was able to disguise Ray's defensive flaws.

Doc's response was awesome. Basically, they're just gonna let Ray bury himself under his own words.

One of the more telling comments Ray has made was something along the lines of "don't' boo me, boo the team". It looks like he's a little to preoccupied about getting booed when he comes back to Boston. I really feel like if he had just said his piece and moved on, Ray would receive a standing ovation when he came back to the Garden - at least when he's first introduced. But the way he seems hellbent on making the organization look bad is going to earn him a rowdy chorus of boos.

Losing you and Rajon back in 2009 wouldn't have hurt much considering that Rajon couldn't make his jumpers and FTs and you being almost always a step or two behind the SGs of the opposing teams particularly against Kobe. What could've happened after the trade had pushed through will be everybody's guess. Both of you were on equal footing - that is, having a handicap that was irreparable at that time.

Fast forward. Rondo now has a jumpshot and a respectable FT percentage. You still remain to be trailing fast and taller guards assigned to you. AB, JT, Barbosa and Lee will let you eat dust when we meet soon. This after you staged the Judas Kiss months ago.

The only reason I am happy this trade never materialized is because of the injuries Amar'e has suffered over the last couple years. But if it weren't for the injuries, I don't see how this would've been a bad trade for Boston

IT actually could've worked out quite well as I think a healthy Stoudemire along with KG and Perkins (remember pre-2011) would've been a nasty front court.

He eventually needs to say, "I'm not answering questions about my old team anymore".

Ray's problem is liking talking to the press too much. But when players talk to the press, it is the reporters who ask the questions. Ray is not walking in with a prepared statement. They ask questions, and he answers. The most interesting things they can ask him right now are about the move.
