Rondo isn't going to get the respect he deserves , he isn't the media darling that CP3 is , and media seems biased in hating on the Celtics period IMO.

Rondo, being a Celtic is going to have work twice as heard as a west coast guard to be reconized in the same light as CP3 .

Rondos team is going to have to have a GREAT year , for ROndo to get the great reviews from outisde the Celtic fan club.

I just think the general media /expert bias towards Celtics is such that Rondo will have to hang two more banners with BOston to overcome the inherit bias and hate .

I don't understand?  He was picked third ahead of Deron Williams, Steve Nash and Tony Parker.

How is that disrespect?

Or maybe you might have the bias problem.

Sorry, I just don't buy this.  It has nothing to do with media bias or anything else that up to this point in his career, Rondo can't shoot.  Other teams don't even cover him.  If he continues to shoot like he has in the preseason, that will be a game changer.  Rondo's assist stats may go down this year but the Celtics will be better.  His improved shooting will draw the defense out and other people will get better shots but it will be after 2 or 3 passes, not just one pass from Rondo.  I hope Rondo gets this and is OK with this.  I think he will be.

What has chris Paul done other then quitting on the hornets once they let tyson chandler go and been a fraud cheap shot artist  on teams that are first round playoff fodder? Apparently raising your level of play every playoff and being the the best playoff performer other then lebron doesn't beat out a fraudulant flopping Carlton banks lookalike

True...but why is Chris Paul still considered the best and put on a pedestal when he hasn't been great or even made the 2nd round of the playoffs since his only great season in 2007 when he had tyson chandler and ALMOST won mvp? Hes injury prone and a quitter Id rather see dwills name ahead of rondos

Although I may put CP above Rondo im wondering how many more years and excuses people will make for CP if it continues to not lead his team anywhere.

People talk about how freest Rondo's teammates have been but give me a break Pierce is 35 and KG is 36 its not like they are at HOF level right now.

As Rondos teammates have got worse Rondo has dramatically improved. Its not like he was playing with Lebron and Wade in their prime or something. People thought KG was retiring after last year.

If Paul doesn't do much again this year as far as team play he will drop further down in peoples minds or it should

What are u talking about, dude? I must be reading your paragraph wrong, but did u just say Pierce, 35, and KG, 36, it's not like they're at HOF level right now. So what level are they? How long have u been watching basketball or the Celtics play, becaus they is an absurd comment. It's not like Rondo is playing Wade and Lebron in their prime?

In case u forgot Ainge accquired KG, 31, Allen 32, and Pierce,30, technically that's prime maybe not as prime as 20's to late 20's. I think Rondo playing along side the Big 3 actaully help develop Rondo into the player he is today.

Over the last 3 years (combined) PP has averaged 19/5/4 and KG's averaged 15/8/3. I don't know that those are really HOF level numbers.

There's no anti-Boston bias.  We're a premiere franchise in the NBA.  Most of the media is located East.  Our fanbase is massive.  If anything, there's a bias towards Boston players.  Rondo gets plenty of media compared to some other elite point guards like Deron Williams.

Chris Paul is superior to Rondo in almost every way.  Rondo's a great player, though and this might be a huge year for him.

Chris Paul is considered the best, because he is the best.  Clippers were a 32 win team without him... a 50 win team with him.  The Hornets went from a consistent playoff team to dead-last in the West when CP3 left.  His averages of 20 points, 9 assists, 2.5 steals on 48% shooting, 38% from three and 86% from the line still put him statistically as the best point guard in the league.  He was picked 1st team All-NBA and All-Defense 1st team.  He's widely thought to be the best leader in all of Basketball and his ability to absolutely take over a game late is already legendary.

He was dealing with injuries in the playoffs.  Chris Paul is underrated.
