Is it me or is Ray Allen looking surlier with his Miami heat Uniform on? I think he is now thinking that he made the mistake of joining the 3 stooges and wants to be a part of what we have right now.

Its not his ankle hurting but his ego.

And we got Sully er. Lol. Thanks Ray. You were once family.  Good luck. I'm happy with this team and I can't wait to face the heat.

He does sound like a crying little baby whenever he speaks about Boston instead of acting classy like he should.

Maybe the reason you didnt get such a nice contract is because you're in your late 30s and have dodgy ankles?

Sore ankles or not, how is ray going to stick with OUR backcourt on defense.  And what a backcourt we can put against wade.  Lee, rondo and when healthy bradley is a great defensive trio.

Again, any complaints? If Ray came back, people would question Danny's thinking for giving him 2 years 12 million and a no-trade clause.

I think it is clear at this point that Danny knew Ray was a goner, that the proverbial bridge had been burned, and that contract offer was made to save some face for the franchise.  You never want to unceremoniously jettison a Hall-of-Fame player who helped you win a championship and reach another.  So Danny made the offer to say "hey, if you really want to come back, here's your deal."

It's not "surgery hasn't helped". It's called post-op.

TP.  I'm glad someone else noticed that.  He does look somber in the picture I saw of him with his Heat uniform on.

Ray doesn't really matter for the Heat until the playoffs.  They will roll through the regular season and have one of the top two records in the East.

It is playoff times when the ball swing to Ray in big moments that they got him for.

So the fact that his ankles are still sore now (not a huge surprise) isn't as important as how he is feeling and playing at the end of the season.  (see KG last year)

Yup, I don't see Ray being a night after night scorer of 20+ points especially on the heat.  His role will be to appear with less than minute left and win a game with a THREE shot. SO If you cover him man to man, then that leaves Bron single coverage to drive and hurl himself at the basket and per STERN the ref must give him the call. Brilliant basketball.

Ray is not KG.  Not even close.  But I see what you're saying.

I'm very sure his guilty conscience is kicking in at the moment.  I'm more than glad he's gone.  We are way better without him.

This is a good news

I think what makes the Heat scary is that they really only need one of their shooters to get hot in any given game to be practically unbeatable.

If you have Lebron + Wade + Bosh, you really only need one of Ray, Chalmers, Miller, Battier, or Lewis to have a good offensive game in order for the Heat to be very difficult to beat.

The counter to that is to attack the Heat on the offensive boards and exploit the mismatches they offer up with their one-size-fits-all lineups.
