In time... can Kris Joseph play the Point position?

No he's a undeveloped Paul Pierce. Unfortunately he has the talent to start now I believe so, but not for this team. If he got drafted by the BobCats he'll be thier franchise player.

After watching Joseph handle the ball during the fourth quarter of one preseason game I was suprised by his ball handling ability.

With his apparently decent BB IQ and by using his length to deal with quicker players I wondered if he could possibly play some point in the future.

I think if he continued to improve his ball handling, he could possibly run the point for stretches for us down the road.

That kid has a knack for going end to end off rebounds and he seems to see the floor fairly well.

I think it's a long shot, but a possibility.

Let's just say he could play some point. Why does this matter or why do we want this? Looking realistically at the guys that probably would play pg better than him for the next year we have in no order

While it's an interesting thought it seems to me like talking about who the 4th string QB on the Pats would be. We all know Edelmen would be 3rd, but who is 4th cause I honestly have no idea. Do you think Woodhead could do it or Shane Vereen?

That's funny he draft reports out of college said he was turnover prone and lacked ball handling skills. Perhaps it is a good sign. If he is able to improve his ball handling skills as some people are suggesting maybe he has some upside after all. Remember he is from Montreal and so was not in such a basketball centric world from a young age.

I see him as a Paul Pierce type player who can play SG, Point Forward bringing the ball up the court now and then; but he is no Magic Johnson lets get real. Happy he made the team and think he has a good future; but even Marquis Daniels had better point skills. That said Joseph has better athleticism (can finish better) and a better shot than Marquis so he would seem to be a new and improved version of Marquis with some room to grow.

Not a point guard, but I see him deveolping into a impressive SF off the bench for some team one day.

KJ has the NBA moves and confidence,  he just need the minutes to put it together...in another year I think he'll be as good as Marshon Brooks.  Brooks got a lot of playing time for a sucky team or on the job training.

I feel alot better about KJ at this point than I did JJJ last year.
