(and I'm not just saying this because he dumped in 25 tonight) You have to pretty excited with what we're seeing from Green this pre-season.  He has been a steady presence, and next to Rondo, their best player this pre-season.

I'm trying hard not to get too giddy about Green and the whole make up of this team, but the positive upside for both this year, and the future of the Celtics, if the Celts can build on what we've seen from Green, Lee, and Sullinger is looking really high.  Not to mention Bradley.

All said though Green has come out like a man on a mission.

we basically traded Perk,JJJ and Moore for Green, Lee and Melo.

Green and Lee are going to be amazing running with Rondo. Danny is the man !

You've murdered Sullinger :P

But I'm loving Green right now, and I was expecting less from him and was already excited to have him.

Technically Green was a free agent signing.  But yeh.  He's doing a heck of a redemption song (or preamble anyhow).

He would have been a resign if he didn't go down with the heart issue. And if he didn't get traded here there would have been a good chance he wouldn't have come here.

So yeah good trade, and making him want to stay here after everything.

Yes, kinda hard not to be a little giddy about Green and Sully.  I leave Lee and JET out of the conversation because they've been known entities and are doing the expected.  I feel like we didn't know what to expect from Green or Sully.

All this and no Bradley, Wilcox or Barbosa yet.  In fact, all this and no real chemistry yet. Can't wait till this team gets used to playing together...

He played 26 minutes today, so don't see the need to call it garbage time... though I'd argue that the whole game was garbage time :)

Dont get too giddy. They are going to trade him to Atlanta along with Sullinger and 2 future first round picks for Josh Smith...  ;)

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

God I hope not.

Not a fan of Smith's.

And if they're really interested in him they can wait until he's a free agent.

The best thing about Jeff Green's performance tonight was that he looked comfortable playing the power forward position late in that game.  He did a nice job defensively at the four.

If we want to have Jeff Green on the floor late in games (which I really believe we do), he'll have to be prepared to play that power forward position well.
