Curious where you stand on this. Personally I remember Drew leading a lot of come from behind wins and I can't remember the last time Brady did that and certainly not in a high stakes scenario. I think it's also worth trying to imagine Drew with Gronk, Hernandez, Welker, and Ridley

Tom Brady was a Unanimous MVP 2 years ago, Broke the previous record for yards in a season last year and currently is still at top 3 QB.  He also understands the game far more than bledsoe ever did.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

But at the top of Bledsoe's game and Tom this last year or 2007, what were they? They were both Super Bowl losers, right?  Or are you saying Tom is like that awesome Super Bowl loser and Bledsoe was Trent Dilfer? Except a Dilfer who lost instead of won of course.

I'd say they're about equal.  Give Bledsoe the same teammates and system, and I think he'd produce about equally to the current Brady.

Bledsoe was a good quarterback, I don't think anyone would ever consider him great.  Tom Brady is/was great, however you want to look at it.

Every day of the week give me an older was/is great quarterback compared with a good quarterback in hisbprime

It would be interesting to see Brady with Bill for a coach and Bledsoe with Bill for a coach

One thing interesting about Bledsoe is he lifted the Bills and Cowboys into relevancy late in his career. I'm not sure if Brady could do that these days.

wow you're such a Brady hater or just tolling...

The Bills and cowboys didn't even make the playoffs with Bledsoe, Brady is a top 5 QB of all time and still top 3 in the nfl today.

I don't understand this comment. The Pats last four losses have come to teams that so far this year have a combined 17-8 record and they lost those 4 games by a total of 5 points. The last time the Pats lost to what can be considered a bad team is 13 months ago when they lost to Buffalo.

Brady. Not really close either.

Bledsoe would struggle with his style of play in the current Chip Kelly-esque Pats offensive system and he would struggle in today's NFL, in general, given the way he used to move in the pocket and his limited mobility.  Brady's not quick but is very agile and extremely aware in the pocket. Bledsoe was never that level in that particular aspect.

I guess I'll check the stats on this and find Bledsoe's best year and Brady this year. Try to get a grasp on this

Drew

1996 (Super Bowl year...not his highest QB rating)

GP    CMP    ATT      CMP%   YDS           AVG   TD   LNG   INT   FUM   QBR   RAT
16   373    623       59.9   4,086   6.56   27   84   15   7   --   83.7

Tom this year
CMP     ATT   YDS      CMP%   AVG     TD   LNG   INT   FUM   QBR   RAT
160     243         1,845      65.8   7.59     10   59   3   1   76.4   97.2

So Brady has significantly better completion % and Drew has way more fumbles.  Fumbles can't be blamed on receivers. Also Drew has a few more interceptions which also largely can't be blamed on receivers.

So it turns out I was wrong. We have a QB who is a little better than Drew, but with way better players around him.  Again. Hard to say what Drew would do with these coaches and teammates, but the Brady supporters have all the evidence they need. Except wins.

You are comparing the stats of a 24-25 year old Bledsoe in his best year to that of a 35 year old Brady in his 12th year in the league and you admit that the Pats currently have a better QB now than when they had Bledsoe in his prime?

If that doesn't tell you just how great a QB Tom Brady is I guess nothing ever will.

Of course I guess we all have to consider the source, a guy who thinks Tebow is a great QB. ;) :D ;D

I am admitting Tom's stats now are better than Drew's Super Bowl year when he was 24.

So first off I never said Drew was an all time great QB.

I never said Tom wasn't.

So this is my question I'd be curious to see answered. If Tom is so great why is he getting outplayed by the Russel WIlsons and Kevin Kolb's of the world? He has supposedly way better teammates than during his first super bowl for sure. So why doesn't he win? Why was he solidly outplayed by Eli Manning in the Super Bowl and Mark Sanchez at home the year before?

To me for three years he's been the Lebron that couldn't win. You know the one.  The one that you gave a dollar and could only give back three quarters.

Do you really think he could do what Tebow did last year? Do you think he could take over a 1-4 team and lead it to a win in the playoffs against the Steelers? With the teammates Tebow had? So why can't he lead this team?

They are five points from being undefeated. Brady can't kick that field goal in Baltimore. He can't stop Gronk from making a completely stupid and unnecessary hold on a late touchdown run. he did his job and put his team in a position to win those games.

As for the SBs, he didn't play Eli. He played against the best defense in the league at that time in both SBs. Give the Giants defense credit. They were awesome both years.

I do blame Brady for last weeks loss. Complete lack of good decision making on his part. He easily could have had 5 interceptions and the Pats would have been blown out if he did. All QBs have bad days, even the great ones.
