Pick an NBA dream team to Beat the Heat.

My answer is simple, the 2013 Playoff Boston Celtics with Rondo, Avery Bradley, Jeff Green, Jared Sullenger, and KG as the starters.

Off the bench comes Leandro Barbosa, Jason Terry, Paul Pierce, Bass, Dark Milicic/Jason Collins/Wilcox.

With the invoking of my 33 lucky charms beginning on Saturday, I commence my mission to will the Celtics to their 18th title. And who is going to stop me?

We're not benching Pierce for Green until it's proven Green would be a better fit in the starting five than Pierce. We did the same with Ray and Avery last year.

Why would Paul Pierce ever come off the bench? I dont understand why people have this idea in their brains.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Throw josh smith in there and we'd have a real legit shot. Not like don't have a good shot now, but having his length and post presence against Bosh would be a deal sealer for me. KG and Smith going against their bigs would be nasty.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

How do you propose we get Josh Smith up here? I see what you are saying. But I think we have to give up too much to get Josh Smith.

The 2013 Celtics, the 2013 Sixers, the 2013 Lakers.. All pretty decent options that could beat Miami.
