LEHGOCELTICS

What do you guys think about the prospect of signing Leandro as our bench combo guard role? He and Terry can man the back-up PG/SG role, and I'd be much more comfortable with this guy than Christmas as our end of the bench player. I'm sure Ainge can cajole this guy into taking the vet's min.

Then we could play like this:
PG: Rondo/Barbosa/Terry
SG: Lee/Terry/Barbosa
SF: Pierce/Green/Joseph
PF: Sullinger/Bass/Wilcox
C:  Garnett/Milicic/Collins/Melo

That's a frighteningly deep team, and that's without Bradley.

He won't sign for the minimum and we don't have much else. I think after Dooling retiring and Darko signing we are past the place where we can use the BAE and stay under the tax apron.

I like Barbosa but he tends to be a ball-hog. He was great for Brazil in the Olympics though.

Barbosa has been pretty bad for a few years, and like IndeedProceed said, we don't need another combo guard.

Not enough minutes available here in Boston to tempt Barbosa.

Very good player though. Barbosa will be a big addition for someone. I've heard that he has been pretty close to signing for the Lakers for some time now. He'd be a major addition to that backcourt / bench.

Exactly.  If by some miracle he signed here, obviously he'd be a great addition.  However, as Who notes, why would he come here to ride the bench at a minimum deal?  There already aren't enough minutes for the guards we have once everyone is healthy.
