I really hope (believe) that Doc is starting JET as a way to get him early time with the starters so they can have continuity for 4th period play just during the pre-season... if JET is going to start, permanently, I HATE IT! I just won't accept it. Now, JET had on the green starter jersey today but I heard him talking about the bench and cheering them on today too. I think he is so important for the bench leader role... G8 will be huge for the bench but he isn't a leader like JET, this will be his first full season there while it's second nature to JET! Don't do it Doc, don't do it!!

Bingo:TP

Doc knows he will have to use both Terry and Sully with the starters in certain situations. So good way to give them some run. Terry will not stay with starters. Sully is more of a question mark given Doc's statements regarding how he helps with the spacing with KG playing away from the basket. This allow Bass to play with Darko under the basket. Sully and Darko would be redundant.

is that really the starting 5...Bass coming off the bench again...

I just read an article that Doc still wasn't set on who he was going to start.  I get the probable starters from the Celtics Notes on NBA.com. Sometimes they are right and sometimes not, especially since Doc wasn't sure who he'd start.

Bass was running with the starters in practice on Friday so it's entirely possible that Bass starts.

I like Bass off the bench, Sully brings O-REB for when the starters get too jump shot happy and Bass is a great offensive option for the other bench guys to take advantage of with pick and rolls. Not to mention the Sullinger has more holes in his game defensively and could really use more help from KG.

I really like the backup front court of Green, Bass, and Darko... like REALLY REALLY like it.

It's not like Bass will never play with those guys ever again... hell KG will be coming in and out every 5 minutes. You'll be seeing a lot of Bass regardless.

It'll be on NBALP, is there a free trial going on right now for league pass?

I am getting it but I haven't ordered it yet

It will probably be up in time for the regular season. Last year they had the first two weeks for free but I bet that had something to do with the shortened season.
Yup, this is most likely the case it's weird though in years past I was never able to get it this early. I always got the "Not available; press here for ordering info", but if it somehow was never shut off as I also had NBATV all summer now that I think about it and havent ordered the sports package either well I'm not going to complain. They've got enough money from me year in and out I'll take it as a thank you for being a loyal customer.  ;D

I have DirecTV and have an auto-renewal every year and they automatically renew it for me as soon as it is available.  I checked the schedule and it's on ch 751.  I watched part of the OKC game last night on LP.  I'm not sure about any other carrier. I do know that when I used to get LP on Comcast they never used to carry preseason.
I got Comcast and you're right they never show preseason or renew automatically

Chris Forsberg just said that Bass is starting and Sully will come off the bench.

Celtics going with Rondo, Terry, Pierce, Bass, and KG for starting lineup. Doc says he’ll continue to mix & match until he finds top group.

I have Brighthouse, not only do they show preseason games, they show them for free. I buy LP early anyway so, I get the games regardless.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

still look sluggishly overweight, good for him though if he already trimmed down. hoping that darko will also loose some weight.

I was just going to say -- have the C's gotten more than 1 rebound? 11-2. Yikes. But it's early.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
