What I like is his age.  Ainge has taken low risk chances in Darko, Lee, Bradley, Sully and Melo.  All or a few of these guys could turn into real players.  Darko could be starter material for us, Lee could improve to that level or easily make us forget tony allen but add in 3 pt shooting, Bradley defensive team player and if his offense is as good as when it was good last year what a draft pick, sully a solid big off the bench

excuse the run on sentence!

What's your definition of "real player"? I don't know how Lee can't be considered as is as a "real player", and Bradley showed plenty last year to show that he can be an impact player on both sides of the floor.

Perhaps this has been linked already but Sheed thinks the guy is nuts and his comments in the last couple days don't do much to dispel that notion

they all are "real" players, each guy is still young enough to take their games up a notch
sort of like:
bradley all defensive 1st team, starter and 12 pts or so a game
darko solid plug in backup or even starter with good rebounding and defending
lee could be a starter, he seems to be to be missing concentration and consistency , again a tony allen replacement but guy can hit the corner 3
sully, could be steal of draft, solid starter for years
melo project but lots of room to improve with rough skills and not much time in basketball in general

so all of these guys have a contract to play in the nba, so they are obviously real players, my point (missed?) is that they are all young guys who show promise to make a step or leap in playing
this team has a  youth core of:
rondo 6 years
green and lee 4 years
sully and melo rooks
bradley 3 ? years
darko is 27 i think

in ainge we trust!

Is he Dothraki?

Were the subtitles legit?

Dothraki are pansy southern boys who only win because they outnumber their opponents 50,000 to 10.   Afraid of water.

The Celtics are the warriors of the North!  The Knights of Winter!

And Winter is Coming.

Awesome!  I love this bit:
Quote
Combine Serbian gangster Darko with hitman Jason Terry, actual insane person Kevin Garnett and always-ready-for-whatever Rajon Rondo and the Celtics become what might be the NBA’s most dangerous team. Here’s hoping they don’t somehow trade for Stephen Jackson or things might go a bit too far.

He forgot to add in Paul "I'm-so-freaking-tough-I've-survived-multiple-stab-wounds" Pierce.

Everyone else acts tough.  The Truth is.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Darko Milicic will have a fistfight with Fab Melo in Turkey. KG will say afterwards, "They both started yelling at each other in unamerican, like Spanish, but not Spanish. Then they were fighting, and we broke it up. I think they're good now tho, Darko said he was going to end the confrontation with Fab after curfew last night. Or, wait...did he say he was going to end Melo IN a confrontation? Who cares, they're both rookies, right?

...has, um, has any of y'all seen Fab Melo today?"

Bwaahaaahaaa.... 8)

Oh yeah.... little Bill Lambeer muscle is just what the "DOC" ordered.

KG  will have real "PITBULL" on leash with his guy....when KG goes out for a rest .  HE'll have this guy chomping at the bit to come in a take OFF D WADES head or send LEBRON crashing to the floor when they fly though the air knees out toward the bucket.

Since Perkins left we just didn't have any enforcers to patrol the middle for KG.

Darko, Collins, Sully and FAB should some provide sorely needed interior muscle and bulk .

Its gonna get really ugly when the Celtics UNLOAD all the pent up frustration on D WAde and his thugs.

I can wait. ;D

Was thinking the same thing - about Kendrick Perkins.

We have certainly missed that "Enforcer" since he left.

Time to bring Nasty back.

I just hope that it doesn't result in too many foul shots for our opponents..

I'm Serbian and I can tell you, the cursing is far worse than the subtitles.

 :o

Haha. Darko may become a fan favorite real quick with his take-no-___ attitude. If he cares even half as much about the C's as he appears to care about his Serbian team, we are in for a real treat.

Oct. 30th can't come soon enough.
