I'm on the Darko bandwagon and was on it even before I saw this. I think he could very well be Stiemsma on steroids. Not in terms of shotblocking but in overall defense. I've seen highlights of him playing against Gasol and can't say I'm not intrigued by what he could bring to the post defense.

I don't think anyone should expect him to break out but to be a solid 4th/5th big off the bench. That's not much to ask and I think at a veterans minimum, Darko could be (ironically) a steal.

I hope Darko gets a real opportunity to play. Although he has not lived up to expectations, his talent cannot be denied. From the media day pictures, he looks to be in really good shape. I am definitely hoping he can put it all together and provide the size and toughness at center that the C's have been missing (outside of Garnett).

One thing I think people are forgetting about Darko, something that could be a real motivating factor... he was pretty much out of the NBA, no one wanted him and he had to take Vet. Min... he is only 27. That could have been the wake-up he needed... either he busts his butt or bust out the NBA! I think it was embarrassing for him. You can hear that from his media day interview... he was surprised that ANY team, let alone a contender, wanted him. I mean, he hasn't lived up to potential, his coach wanted him out (succeeded), and publicly questioned his work ethic (probably said worse to friends in the league behind closed doors (kinda like black-balled)... I'm sure that kept MANY teams away from him. When you take 1 mil to play on a team when you could get 6m somewhere else, that really tells me that you want this!

I'm not saying it will work out but think about those factors.

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Go Darko.  Time to prove 'em wrong.

First, Roy beat me to it. My initial thought: 'I hope it is like Drago.'

Second, I might hate this video come Jan, because I am legit excited for Darko now.

This is probably his last great opportunity in the league, so I hope he's taking it seriously. Certainly seems to be, judging by the video.

I'm excited by the possibilities he brings. Dude's huge.

I hope he keeps on working out with that attitude.

Darko's problems have more to do with finding a role and a winning environment. This Celtic team is what he needs.

Can't wait to see Darko protecting the rim against the LeBrons and Kobes of the league. His jab looks fine to me.

Go Celtics!!

Made me LOL. Darko and steal have never been said in the same sentence.

But I'm excited. If he can develop a relationship with KG, I don't think there's anything to worry about.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.
