Looks like they didn't stray too far from the Blazers' identity, which is good. A simple design is almost always good.

Lots of subtle changes: the font for the lettering and numbers, logo on the front, and that slash across the front are all new.

I agree on the red over black. Actually, I hear red is the new black. All the kids in the twitterverse are blogging it out.
