Yeah but the last impression of these guys playing against each other that most people have is the game 6 and 7 performances of both men in the ECFs last year.

Bosh definitely got the better of KG in those games and was instrumental in Miami winning that series. That doesn't mean Bosh is better than KG, I don't believe for a second that he is, but last impressions sometimes are the things people remember most.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Bosh also just won a chip. If we'd have won a chip, KG would be higher, as would Pierce Rondo and Bass.

I agree it is totally about impressions.  The stupid thing is that the only reason Bosh 'got the better' of KG is because, of all things, Bosh got absurdly red hot from 3PT line during the playoffs - over 50%!

Normally, he's a mediocre (28%) 3PT shooter and its a sign of KG 'winning' the battle when Bosh ends up trying to score from way outside like that.   But this time he got hot.

So its all kind of twisted and unreal.  LOL.   ::)

PP should've been in the top 25, Rondo should be higher the DWill and DRose (coz of the injury).. But it's ESPN so ...
Anyways, the top 10 would probably be :
1 Lebron
2 Durant
3 Kobe
4 Rose
5 Howard
6 Wade
7 Paul
8 Westbrook
9 DWilliams
10 Love

Looks about right.

I'm expecting Rondo's best season, yet.

Afterwards, he should easily move into the top 10.

He has a good chance to move up a few spots by the time they do next off-season's ranking.

The only reason Bosh went off in the playoffs is because KG couldn't come out of the paint to guard him.  If KG was playing 4 and he's guarding Bosh the whole time, no way in hell Bosh would have those kind of games with KG on his heels

Both players should be higher. Bosh around 15 and Garnett higher again.

I was more than a little surprised to see Nash ranking ahead of KG.

Bosh definitely got the better of KG in those games and was instrumental in Miami winning that series. That doesn't mean Bosh is better than KG, I don't believe for a second that he is, but last impressions sometimes are the things people remember most.

Bosh had a fancy box score in game 7 with 19 points and 8 rebounds in 31 minues.  9 of those 19 points came from the three point line where he shot 3-4...a feat that he has probably never acheived in his entire career, and probably never will again.

KG's game 7 performance (14 points, 7 rebounds) was one of of his worst performances of the playoffs, yet still wasn't far of Bosh's output that game despite the three point fluke show.

In game 6 Bosh had 7 points, 6 rebounds in 28 minutes (3-8 shooting) while KG had 12 points, 5 rebounds in 31 minutes (6-14 shooting).  There's really no way you can argue that Bosh had a better game there.

Throughout the playoffs KG averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and shot 50% from the floor and 87% from the line.

Bosh averaged 14 points, 8 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 1 block and shot 45% from the field and 83% from the line.

KG clearly had a VASTLY suprior postseason if you look at the numbers, and that's even before you look at defense...an area where KG is worlds above Bosh.

The only advantages Bosh has over KG are youth and the ability to hit fluke threes at convenient times.

Oh, plus the fact that he wears a Miami jersey, which automatically moves him up 10 ranks  ;D
