Jason Terry is the backup PG.  And he'll be a better ball handler and play maker than anyone we've had to back up Rondo up to this point.

And with the backup PG spot, we're talking about 12 mpg in the regular season and less than 8 mpg in the playoffs.  Such a small chunk of time is not worth downgrading talent by trading Bradley for Fredette.

Don't trade the starting SG of a playoff team for the third string PG on a lotto team.

Lee will be the starting shooting guard.  Hence, Bradley is expendable.  I don't see how Lee's a drop-off at the position.  The shooting guard postilion on Boston is interchangeable.  They will still be a playoff team without him [Bradley] in the starting lineup.

The overwhelming bias against Fredette by posters on here is disappointing.  I thought that I would read insightful, intelligent and objective opinions.  I guess not.  Very few, if any, thought out replies.  Too many jerks on here.  Shame.

If you dislike the thread, then don't acknowledge it.  But that's too much in doing right.

If you create a trade idea, don't expect others not to comment against it.

I don't see anything in my response that yells out I shouldn't respond.

I just think that trading the starting SG of a playoff team (see last year) for a guy that is third on a lotto team (see the last year) is a terrible idea.  Celtics would be getting no value what so ever for Bradley.  He has already proven (or at least now has the reputation) as one of the best on ball pressure defenders.  Why give that up for a third string PG?

I can't think of a good basketball reason to want Fredette, so it must be a superficial reason, by which, of course, I mean that Jimmer Fredette is a handsome man and some fans may prefer a guy who looks like him to one who looks like Avery Bradley.

OK, let me get this straight.  You propose what IMO is a really bad trade for the C's and then you tell everyone else not to comment on the trade idea if they don't like it?  We aren't all jerks just because we don't agree with your trade idea.  Dude have a beer...

Bradley has shown a lot more than Fredette during the last season.  If you watched any celtic games in which avery started you have to admit he gave the team a lift.  Our team just clicked a lot better once AB was inserted into the starting lineup.  The coach said it, the whole team said it, a hall of fame player was traded because he didn't like it.

I think the person who said this was right on:
"Don't trade the starting SG of a playoff team for the third string PG on a lotto team."

Any young player next to KG/Doc Rivers will be amazing. Look at Rondo, Bradley, Big Baby etc.

Locking this thread, cuz now it's just piling on an unpopular idea.
