It seems that his decision to leave has a lot to do with his diminishing role and unwillingness to accept the fact that he is 37 now.

But I'm kind of baffled as to why he would leave here only to go to Miami, where he would have an even smaller role. There'll most definitely be no "screen maze" for him there. He'd be a spot up shooter despite being the 4th best player.

Ray had the ball plenty, especially with the second team. Ray had issues getting trapped by midcourt and was prone to throwing the ball into oblivion.

When they run their offense through Lebron as LeBron is set up in the low post with Wade at the top of the key it opens up all sorts of wide open looks for players on the three point line in the corners and at the foul line extended areas of the floor.

True that was the first option, but he was also signed to provide an offensive player coming off the bench no matter who we lined up with him.
