I don't understand it. Very bad fit. Doesn't do anything that Brandon Knight or Will Bynum don't do better. Bad signing for Detroit. They should have gone in a different direction.

On a side note -- Knight in his rookie season played just as badly (awful) as Jonny Flynn did (awful) in his first season. Be interesting to see if he can turn it around or not.

A Syracuse fan told me he had a hip injury and lost some explosiveness & at his size a position it makes a big difference?

Christmas is not a PG...and if we have a D-League talent like him getting important minutes anywhere on the floor..then we are in trouble.

Really don't think he add anything to this team except a practice body

Maybe so, but if Christmas has hope, he has more than Jonny Flynn.

No clear plan, so just "collecting assets" and young "talent"?

Flynn's the 15th/16th man on that roster. The signing isn't a big deal.

Pistons need to develop Drummond into a solid frontcourt mate for Monroe, and hope that Knight improves. There's little else going for them on that roster as far as talent is concerned. I like Jerebko a lot, Tayshaun is still one of my favorite players, and Stuckey shows flashes, but they all have flaws/limitations that prevent them from being considered cornerstones.

I think it's going to be a long rebuild for Detroit. Didn't they trade away next year's 1st rounder to move Ben Gordon?

Stuckey at SG ain't bad, and is far more than solid as a combo-bench guard.  For some reason they tried to make him out as something else/more star-like.

They could use seasoning, an experienced PG, and some great coaching, but it'll still take time.

Christmas at PG is like Doc saying that Tony Allen is a PG. Christmas plays more under control than Allen; but lacks his explosiveness.

He was the starter for the TWolves his entire rookie year and played quite well.

Half true.  He did start as a rookie, but he did not play very well.
He played well enough to warrant 28 minutes per game and 13 pts and 4.5 assists. I guess he must have been doing something right.

It is possible for a bad player to put up numbers like that.

Not worried, for 3rd string pg I'd rather Arroyo for limited emergency minutes.  Give me a vet that can sit 5 games in a row and then be called on and produce
scal?  ::)

I would not want Delonte back either.  Dude is scrappy but he is injury prone not to mention not the most stable fellow.
