Take that Miami!

So you guys have the players taken #1, #4, and #5 in one of the greatest drafts ever.  We now got #2!

good one. tp for you.

if the choice is christmas or darko for the celtics, what is debate? darko's job is to be 7 foot and give fouls and hang around the paint for a few rebounds and blocks.

that will help the celtics more than what christmas would bring during his very very limited time.

fine with darko. he will be the 2nd to 3rd center off the bench. let's not have a collective hissy fit over this.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

One year for the minimum.  Thank you, I will take that flyer.

If he doesn't work out, send him packing.  But at the very least, he will be an insurance policy who can block some shots.

I am OK with this. Anything to keep KG fresh for the playoffs. I am still nervous about the SF situation, but that's why we paid Green one hojllion dollars, so fingers crossed.

Good backup C depth. I like having two options behind KG.

With the way the big bodies have been dropping over the last couple of seasons, this is good insurance. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise some of us. It's not like our system and coach have never brought out the best in scrubs before.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

not bad for Vet min. Gives boston depth at the C spot and a guy that can just defend and rebound. he won't be looked upon to score

That's a great deal for a backup C.

Very good signing, he can really defend the 5. His offensive shortcomings will be lessened playing with Rondo.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I agree with this

I also agree with this up above

To me this is essentially the Pollard signing, which was totally worth it based on that clam chowder bit alone. The one with the daughter where he envisioned marrying the clam chowder. You know the one.

I agree. I can just see him at a meeting with other GMs complaining "Man. Our 5th big man is horrid" and Danny says "Mine too! Only I got mine for the vet min"

A lot of people are saying he can give us some quality mins against D Howard.

Hold on now. I'm pretty sure the plan is for Darko to go nowhere near D Howard. The plan is to get quality mins against Steamer..in which case get ready to watch Darko get abused but better to use up the already fragile ego of Darko for the vet min than traumatize Melo before he even gets his feet wet.

yup, good ol' #2.  Here's the best #2 though.  Probably be just as productive.

WOW! That was really surprising!
I'm OK with it, but this means we're letting go of Christmas or Joseph.. And Bass will most likely be traded..

I just don't see the need. I cannot fathom what about Darko makes him better than Collins or what we already have. Sorry, I'd rather keep the project wing with more talent. Not sure why KG, Wilcox, and Collins can't hold down the 5-spot fine with Sully getting emergency minutes
