I admire your optimism! :)

They aren't unbeatable, but nobody is going to "DESTROY" them, in my opinion.

I think somebody already did!

If thats not destruction i dont know what is.

Lowest score of the season for miami! (exept for the 2 games at the end of season when some players rested for the playoffs)

In fact its the lowest points total since james joined the team!

That's true, the Celtics did blow out the Heat a couple times.

I was talking specifically about the playoffs in a 7 game series, though.
We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?

i think cole will improve quite a bit.

I think sully down low might be our secret weapon. Put kg on bosh and let sully abuse whatever other big they put out there, and if its james, sully can get him in foul trouble real quick.

Not to mention sully can dominate the boards against them.

This would be true if not for the fact that Lebron is immune to foul calls in the NBA.

The Celtics are still one piece away. We need a big man. I mean a Al Horford or Marc Gasoline type big that gives you 18 and 10 a night and has an advantage against his opponent on most nights.

In the regular season we should be fine, but to beat the Heat, IMO, we need that type of big man that can put in work in the paint but not deviating away from what works best, Rondo and the fast break. Until hat big man is on the Celtics, we will not DESTROY the Heat. Beating them is still plasuible but that Al Horford or Marc Gasol makes us a favorite in the series.
Let's Go Celtics!!

2.) I don't see how the Celtics are going to DESTROY the Heat without enough depth at the 4/5 position. I think right now Bosh, Joel Anthony, Rashard Lewis are equal to KG, Wilcox and Sullinger/Jeff Green in rebounding.

In terms of rebounding:
* KG > Bosh,
* Sullinger > Joel Anthony
* Wilox > Rashard Lewis
* Jeff Green > Nobody (no 4th person was mentioned)

3.) I am seeing alot of people here make the injury excuse. Least we forget, the Heat were missing Bosh for most of the series last May. Also, I am not convinced that Wade was 100% either. Injuries ARE PART OF THE GAME.

Miami had 1 guy miss the whole series (Cole), one guy miss a couple of games (Bosh) and two guys playing hurt (Miller, Wade).

Boston had 3 players miss the whole series (Bradley, Wilcox, Green) and 4 guys playing hurt (Allen, Pierce, Stiemsms, Pietrus).

That's a count of 4 injuries versus 7 - your argument is void.

Bosh and Wade were as critical to Miami as Allen and Pierce were to Boston, but Miller and Cole were nowhere near as important (combined) to Miami as Bradley, Green, Wilcox, Stiemsa and Pietrus (combined) were to Boston.

If injuries are going to be such a problem every year, it's up to Danny Ainge to acquire the proper depth.

He did.

Jeff Green, Avery Bradley, Chris Wilcox, Brandon Bass and Michael Pietrus.

Jeff Green, Avery Bradley and Chris Wilcox were all injured and did not play.

So then Danny was lucky to pick second string backups - Michael Pietrus and Greg Stiemsma. They were both injured and playing hurt.

Luckilly we did happen to have some third string backups in the 'bench warmer' category - Keeyon Dooling, Marquis Daniels and Ryan Hollins.  They actually helped us win one game.

What about Bass?  He had to start when all of the above got hurt.

Danny and Doc did an amazing job last season with what they had...unfortunately they just didn't have much.

Heat without Bron is horrible .  Wade getting old and crippled. Joel A....scrub...LBJ is the superman , the new Kobe unlimited energy offensive scoring machine.

We'll see if Lebron has Kobe's staying power to play 40 minutes every gmae balls to wall for another 8 years. No distractions and no injuries.

I think we have enough fresh legs/fouls  to throw at LeBron this year to hold him in check.
