  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
This is just me, but I'm liking Rondo and John Wall. That would be a very bad shooting back court but on the fast break, man they'll tear it up. But still, the shooting, ugh.

Realisticly Aldrige and Love are the only 2 I could see in the near future.

For fun: Post Big 3

Rondo
Avery Bradley
Rudy Gay
Blake Griffin
Aldridge

Mainly I'd just love to give Rondo a guy who is 6'11''++, reasonably quick and athletic, energetic, a solid shotblocker (for when Rondo matadors ball-handlers to the rim), and who can roll to the rim and finish on the pick and roll very effectively.

Anybody who fits that description would probably play at center and be an All-Star, so it's unlikely to happen.  But it'd be great.

Indeed, somebody like Marcin Gortat or maybe even an Anderson Varejao or Joakim Noah type would more or less fit that description.  I think a player like that would go great with Rondo.

Basically, give me Perk back, only taller, quicker, and with much better hands.
We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?

Blake and rondo fast break would be sick
Id also like to see Paul George with him.
Excellent defender and can dunk like crazy!

Nope :-\ Nor is he a good rebounder

Yup!

LaMarcus Aldridge
Chris Bosh

Why Aldridge over Kevin Love?

Centers = both (either one) Bosh and Aldridge to be used as a quick highly skilled finesse based center in a pairing with Rondo. Fast paced offense. Spread the floor with lots of shooters and athletes. Let Rondo attack at will and create for others. Fun team. Beautiful basketball.

Dwight (number 1 hands down)

Rondo and Dwight would be immensely powerful together. Two of the top three (Garnett the other) facilitators in the game today. Nobody does more then them to help and improve their teammates.

Even an average supporting cast with no more top level talent has a chance at winning a Championship with Rondo and Dwight together on the same team.

By far the best player to pair with Rondo. Shame it didn't happen.

Serge Ibaka would fit that description.  He 6'10", but he's still a big.  Too bad OKC won't let him go.

I think the all-time best would be a healthy Kenyon Martin or Shawn Kemp.

Dwight Howard.

We can all hope that things blow up in Lakerland and DH bolts after next yr, right?

Is there anything written where he has made a sure-fire long-term commitment to the Lakers?

If this is true, then he more than likely won't go to NJ...which leaves....BOS?

We can't really afford him, unfortunately.

Wilcox is a little bit short to fit the mold of the player I was describing.

Also, not really a shotblocker, like you said.

But I think it's fair to say he's a good fit with Rondo based on what we saw last year, and he's a good placeholder until we get a legit big for him to run with.
