What is your favorite Celtics player?
What is your favorite Non-Celtics player?
And explain why they are your favorite

I'll go first

Favorite Celtics player
-Without a doubt Paul Pierce. His style of play is like watching a ballet. Theres nothing on the court he can't do. I know many might like the super-aggresive hyped emotional players, but I love his effortless style. Like he didn't break a sweat after the game is over. His offensive arsenal is unmatched, and I'll always thank him for the 2008 NBA Finals performance

Favorite Non-Celtics player
-A tie between Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul. Wade's 2006 NBA Finals is one of the best performances ever. Its that quiet confidence that he can dominate the game whenever he wants to. The best shooting guard in the league in my opinion. Chris Paul just scares me that he is so talented. Nothing else to say about that

favorite C: probably Rondo at this point with PP a close second.

Favorite non-C: a real C's fan would only have a former C's player in this spot.  For me, it's almost any former Celtics draftee except Bill Walker.

Celtic = Rondo or Garnett. Probably Rondo. Such an exciting player to watch. I love his range of passing, physical / mental toughness and also how many extra possession he creates for his teammates.

Non-Celtic = Hmm ... used to be Duncan. For awhile Manu Ginobili. Nowadays, hmm, I'll go with Dirk Nowitzki. I love his shooting ability and all the different ways he can attack different types of defensive sequences. Far more enjoyable (offensive weapon) to watch than the large number of perimeter scorers / playmakers who pound the ball into the floor 20+ feet from the rim possession after possession (LeBron, Wade, Westbrook, CP3, Nash).

Celtic - Rondo.. I just love how unpredictable he is.. even though I scream so loud when he passes an open layup for a 3 pointer.

Non-celtic - Luol Deng.. because i'm British  :)

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
Favorite Celtic:  KG.  Watching a guy lead by example and make others give it their all earns my respect.  If he really wanted to, KG could get all the shots he wanted to.  But he's so unselfish, and he knows there are four other guys on the court.  I know it's been eight years, but I always feel like I'm watching MVP KG.

Favorite non-Celtic:  Kevin Durant.  It's not so much that talent, but more the way he carries himself.  Here's the best scorer in the NBA, and after dropping 40+, he credits his teammates.  He's got that down-to-earth feel, but at the same time, he'll hit dagger after dagger.  I love his demeanor.  If we don't win this year, I'd love to see KD get a ring.

Celtic:  Paul Pierce.

Non-Celtic:  My current binkie is Kyrie Irving.  I'm a Durant fan, and I like the old-timers, too:  Duncan, Dirk, Nash.

Current:

Rondo (passing,athleticism)

Durant (no 6-11 guy has ever done this)

All-time:

Bird: (passing, scoring, rebounding, balls)

Olajuwon: (shot blocking, rebounding, low-post skills that were a work of art)

Favorite current Celtic?

Paul Pierce by default. He's just the truth, man! The captain. I grew up with that guy. I know and love everything about his game.

Second fav? Cliche that my 3 favs are our three best, but Rondo/KG. Rondo for his plain astounding game, and the way he can Affect a game is ridiculous. KaGe for his M*****F***** INTENSITY AND SPIRIT RAHHHHH.

Favorite non Celtic? Easy: Leon POOOOWWWEEEEEEE

All time?

Celtic: Russell baby. To whom every athlete should model themselves after.

Non Celtic:

Chamberlain -- Shaq can't possibly be the most dominant, the way Wilt played the game.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.
