I really like the idea of putting Rondo on the floor with three players who have three-point range to spread the floor, so I've always wanted a stretch four who is a three-point shooter for the Celtics.

He seems like an intelligent player who is good at being where he is supposed to be on defense, so he seems like a better fit for the Celtics style of team defense than some make it out to be.  He is neither a huge liability nor a lockdown defender.  I think he is a better defender than Brandon Bass or Al Jefferson.

I do see him let frustration affect his game sometimes, but he is still only 24.

I wouldnt mind either one on our roster, but I wouldnt trade Jeff Green and Brandon Bass for them as of now. I think that is too high of a price. Ryan Anderson hasnt proven he can be effective without a 'superman' center next to him yet and Jason Smith? He has a ways to go before he would break into our rotation.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Ryan Anderson would be even more effective playing alongside Rondo than Howard (at least I'd like to think). Rondo - Howard is very similar to Stockton - Shaq in terms of playing alongside them.

Jason Smith is a proven 10 ppg scorer (that's cuz he averaged 10 points per game last season). I feel like Doc would want to play a 7 foot, defensive minded big. You do have a point though - so take out Smith for a great prospect in Aminu. How do you feel about the trade then?

If it's still not enough for Green/Bass, maybe swap first round picks?
