If Charlotte plays him at guard, easily the best guard, and maybe best player in this draft, will be Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. He's got Scottie Pippen written all over him. Once he gets his long range jumper to fall, he will be considered, years from now, better than any other player in this draft.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Interesting to see how many people think Ross and Beal are going to be legit.
I think they are more likely to be busts than Austin Rivers.
Just my opinion. I think Ross can't drive to save his life and Beal is too passive- he doesn't have the killer mentality that Waiters and Rivers have in my opinion.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Yeah, if we he gets a jumpshot and plays sg he'll be dominant

He's a forward.  While I think he could switch to SG, Charlotte's guard rotation is pretty full with Walker/Gordon/Sessions/Henderson.  On the other hand they have nobody to play SF aside from Reggie Williams who is really a 2.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Regardless of his position, he is going to be an interesting guy to watch.  I am skeptical about him as an NBA player.  I think he will most certainly be a very good player...but I just have a hard time seeing him as great.  I think he will probably be kind of like Gerald Wallace or Andre Igoudala.  Borderline All-star, and a guy you would generally want on your team...but not the type you build a franchise around.

I can't say why exactly, but I think he's going to be a major star.  I think he'll reach Gerald Wallace level real quick, during his second year maybe.....then, in like 3 or 4 years, start to take over games and be a perennial all-star.

Given his work ethic, I won't fight you very hard on this one.  I don't personally see it, but if there was ever a player I wouldn't count out, it is MKG.

Aside from Sully and Melo, MKG is the rookie I'm most interested in following. Rivers would be 4th, solely due to his connection with the Cs.
Celtics fan for life.
