I don't think the Cs need anyone else right now. I just want to see the current group play together.
Barring any major trades, the team as currently constructed is basically the team for the next two years (given how little $$$ the team will have to play with next offseason). I'm fine with this, and I want to see the results... I'm particularly excited about seeing what Sullinger can do.
The team may have a decent amount of money to play with next off-season. The salary cap was held artificially lower this season due to the lockout/CBA. It was written into the CBA that this year would be the same cap as last year's if the owners and players couldn't agree on the projected BRI for this season. Shockingly, they couldn't agree. (Who would've seen that coming?!) But next year, if they can't agree, it will be an automatic 4.5% bump from this year's BRI, which will be from a full season. While we don't know what this year's BRI will be, they wrote projections into the CBA, and if they use those projections, the hard cap would jump to $83.9 million. This would give us more than enough room to use both the full MLE and the BAE. If it misses by a little, we might not be able to use the BAE, but it would have to miss by a lot to cost us both the BAE and the big MLE.
That said, I'm also excited about what the team presently looks like.
