Magic would get destroyed by Simmons.  He was a great player but he is mediocre as an analyst.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
It would be interesting to see if Simmons is as clever in person as he is in writing.

The less Broussard, the better.

They need Chris Webber. Lots of Webber.

Yeah Webber is good. What happened with Webber? Seems like we are getting less and less of him.
Probably got in an argument with a UNC lover and tried to call timeout during the argument and everyone was like "Yeah. You can't do that"

The Lakers/Celtics friction between Magic and Simmons could make for great television.

I think they should just try to find a contrarian, sort of like a smarter Woody Paige, whose job is to outrageously disagree with mainstream opinion and cause as much conflict as possible.
But is he right like 99% of the time?

Yay, and the prophet Skip Bayless said, Yes, but the TEBOW can win.

The pharisee mocked him, saying, The TEBOW has poor mechanics, the TEBOW is actually a product of a good defense.

Nay, said Skip Bayless, nay.

But he will lose in the playoffs, said the Pharisee, Team will adapt to the TEBOW.

Nay, said Skip Bayless, he is not Lebron. He will not choke.

Le-Brawn is a dear, dear friend, said the Pharisee.

Chyl please.

Tebow didn't choke in the playoffs. He led a 1-4 team to the playoffs and had a historic game in the playoffs and lost to New England like every other team besides the Giants.

Bron didn't "achieve" anything this year. He played well in the playoffs. Finally. Woop de do. Did Joey Crawford just call another foul on KG?

I agree with pretty much all this. Bill Simmons voice is annoying, but he says interesting things. I think the two biggest hurdles are:

1) That he'll say something dumb and get booted off the show with a token suspension.

2) that he'll say no. He's already printing his own money, and loves where he is at directing 30/30s and editing Grantland. It's gonna take Wheadon money (not literally, but figuratively) to lock him up for the show, and there are cheaper options out there.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
They have to get rid of Chris Broussard for one.

BS is alright by me, Jalen Rose should be good as well (got to give the people, give the people what they want...).

They still won't beat Inside the NBA though, that show is a comedy genius, something ESPN can't do.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I wouldn't want Chris Webber on there.  I actually love him and Dick Stockton calling games on TNT.  Dick isn't biased like Mike Breen, and CWebb provides great insight and enthusiasm.

NBA Countdown is horrible.  I'm almost positive I watched every single episode last season, due to my obsession with basketball.  There were times when it would be a host and Jalen Rose, and I really liked that.  Jalen is a good analyst.

Inside the NBA is quite possibly the greatest show on TV.  I can't stay up late to watch it, so I DVR it, come home from school on Fridays, and watch it.  Chuck, Kenny, and EJ are great.  It'll probably take me another season to get used to Shaq.

Sadly you just described Steven A Smith and Skip Bayless. Thank god they both have their own show.

I like Skip Bayless.
