Already easily, the best on ball defender in the game.

Has a quality 3 point shot to go with a pull up jumper.

Good at finishing around the rim.

Reliable midrange jumper.

Great athleticism, speed, and acceleration.  Better than Rondo's in all three, and Rondo is known for his quickness.

Not the best handle, nor the ideal stature for a 2 guard, but certainly a star in the making.  He's displayed and shown all of this despite being the #5, arguably #6 option last year , as well as never having ONE real training camp or for that matter, a real season's worth of practices due to the Big 3's age.  Kid is already a defensive stalwart, but he's 25 points a game waiting to happen.  Pierce in an interview said that Rondo was the only one who could stay with him.  I can't wait until he really blossoms and enters his prime and is given time to polish his game.

Credit Ainge for a massive steal.

I can't wait to see Avery blossom in to a star these next few years.

He's so refreshing to the entire NBA, not just Celtics fans. The kid plays his tail off and i don't even think people realize just how much of an impact he has on the defensive end of the floor. His on ball defense makes it so tough for teams to get in to their sets and his energy pumps up the whole team and makes them play defense that much harder. He injects life and makes it fun to play defense. How many guys in the NBA can you say that about?

He's like a 6 foot 3 KG, he just never takes his foot off the gas. Which is appropriate since it was KG who gave Avery all his confidense last year.

If Avery keeps working like a dog and improves his ball handling he's going to take this league by storm.

a young legend in the making. Watch him come back with more muscle so he looks more like tony allen.

I appreciate the optimism and like what I see, but I don't think we need to jump to definitive conclusions yet.  Let's see how he bounces back from surgery and copes with a pretty crowded backcourt filled with 4 players who would all like to play 30+ mpg.

Reminds me a lot of Lindsey Hunter, but with a higher ceiling and a little more athleticism and offensive potential.

Same height/weight, same smothering defense.

A rich man's Lindsey Hunter would make me very happy.

It will be interesting to watch.  He is going to have to get much better offensively to be anything more than a quality role player who can take advantage of defenses ignorning him.  But the talent is there.  I would feel better about him if he was about 2" taller though.  He is a tweener, and takes a real beating against SGs.  It might not be enough to stop him from being a good NBA player, but it could keep him from being a star.

yeah.  I don't agree with most of the stuff OP said, but I guess it's possible.  Let's hope for the best.

Personally, I'd be surprised to see Bradley turn into a "star".  I think his ceiling is solid roleplayer off the bench like Jason Terry (who has also spent considerable time as a starter during his career).

I think he's good and the kind of player you need to win it all. I'm not sold on the "star" part.

Bradley's already been at least at that level and possibly higher. He's 21 and he's only played meaningful minutes for one season. I don't see why anyone would consider what he's already done at this point in his career to be his ceiling as a player.

This.  I love Avery, I really do, but you guys are acting like dual-shoulder surgery is a minor operation.  I'm not sure if he'll be ready for training camp, but I look forward to see how he recovers.

LOL @ anyone who thinks Bradley's ceiling is quality role player off the bench.  He was a great starter on a championship calibre team, who was a big contributer on both ends of the court,  which already exceeds that expectation.

While dual shoulder injury isn't a small touchup, with todays medicine, it really isn't that massive a deal.  I'm not saying he'll be a star this season by any means, but people routinely make comebacks from much worse injuries ala ACL/neck/etc. The most obvious example is Brady; and I would say he's done pretty well the past few years.

He has a quality jumpshot with good shooting form
He is good around the rim
Has great athleticism
Is already the best on ball defender in the NBA
Moves well without the ball

He's going to be an elite player.

I heard Joe Dumars from one guy/a few guys. Is it far fetched? I'd be happy.

I'm going to save my judgments until after he plays a full, healthy season with quality minutes. You guys should probably do the same.

LOL. Yes but Marcus Bank's play didn't run Ray Allen out of town! :o
