I am very skeptical about players with athletic gifts that they have done nothing with because of poor work ethic.  This is a guy who was amnestied partly because several of his teammates recommended that he be shown the door.

I'd really like to see him play in the D-League for a few months to demonstrate that he can get in shape and improve his attitude and earn a mid-season contract.  If the Celtics did decide to sign Blatche before the season starts, I'd like to see Doc try to humble him by making him spend the first couple of months of the season behind Collins on the depth chart and only play Blatche if he can handle that without complaining or sulking.

Sean Williams was a good citizen while with the C's. I think the combination of KG and Doc can help someone like Blatche. Question is whether Wic would go for it. Have a very good group as it is and Blatche would be on a very short leash.

I thought he tweeted he was choosing between the Spurs and cHeat... I wonder what happened...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

he's a very talented player who cares nothing but his own stat line.

Though I do agree with the above saying how KG and Doc can help him. I mean he is only 25 years old. I'd take that chance

Sean Williams also probably would have been cut if he hadn't been traded.  If it were allowed by the CBA, I think I would prefer gambling on bringing Williams back rather than signing Blatche.

And he's probably going to stay out there... I'm fine with having Fab as a project Blanche isn't needed.

Yep he's still out there. But we still won't sign him.

I do not want him to take away Sully's minutes.

Pass this guy is a dud.  A seven footer who thinks he is a jump shooter.  Lazy guy who has avoided contact his whole career.

C's can offer neither much money, nor a likelyhood of minutes.  Even if the C's were interested, I am not sure why Blatche would be.

I don't think money matters. He doesn't get extra money personally as I understand it. Rather the Wizards just don't have to pay the portion of his Amnestied deal that equates to the deal he gets from his new team. Either way he is still making the same amount of money.

Plus no one is going to throw money at him or someone would have by now.

As for minutes. After KG, Bass, and Green I think the PF and C minutes are pretty much up for grabs. I think there are still a lot of big man minutes to be had.

i just really hope the Heat don't pick him up. That could be dangerous.

However, i do wish him the best. Hopefully he can go to a crappy team and get back to being a 16 and 8 guy. And i think he will.

He does get extra money, I believe.  He only doesn't get extra if he was claimed off waivers in the bidding process.  That didn't happen.  So, now he is a free agent, he gets his old salary, and anything else on top of that, on a new contract.

Not to mention, he has motivation to get paid more, simply to give him more flexibility on signing his next contract.

It seems that there is not a single NBA team that wants him.

It tells you something about a large man that is athletic and can hit a jump shot.

The NBA decision makers seem to have decided that he is not worth the trouble.

One more thing (as someone else once pointed out), if the Celtics are listening to Flip Saunders at all, Blatche will never be on the Celtics.  Blatche effort on defense made Flip, of all coaches, to bench him.  Flip and Blatche did not get along.  (a common occurrence between Blatch and coaches)
