I'm a big fan of the JET signing and think he can bring alot to this team but he needs a big fat slice of humble pie. Swagger is a good thing but dude, wait until you play a game with the team before forcasting a title.

What i loved about the 2008 team was the modesty and humble attitude. You didn't see them making championship predictions before the season, they knew they'd have to prove themselves and they did, night in and night out. I remember before the finals started there was a photo shoot with Celtics and Lakers players and the Championship trophy and Doc wouldn't even let any of the guys touch it. And it must have made it that much sweeter when they won it.

Leave the arrogance and egotism up to the prima donnas in South Beach. It doesn't fit at all with the Celtics tradition.

And i think the tattoo is great and for the record if the Celtics win it all i'm getting the same one but i just don't think he should be making any guarentees to the media about championships without even having one practice under his belt with the team. It will be alot of new guys working together on the team this year, he just needs to chill and wait for them to gel a bit before making any bold statements. You just never know what could happen. KG could blow out his knee the 1st day of practice.

Well , Jet has already proven himself.. And that's his personality, so I really don't mind.. I like the swag!

i'm very, very big on Celtics Tradition and i never want to see a bunch of thugs out there in Green & White acting like a bunch of junior college renegades ...........

but there has always been a quiet arrogance and disdain for opponents by all the great Celtic teams - this Jason Terry thing, i agree, is a little much for my tastes, but that '08 team also played with a nasty, determined attitude and didn't mind one bit if things got a little testy on the court - we've missed some of that since we lost Perk, certainly, but also guys like Posey, Eddie, Sam I Am, Powe, even Sheed during the '10 Finals run.

lets see what happens when the season starts and hes gotta play up to the expectations.

but in terms of arrogance, yeah hes showing a little bit of it to the media. but guess what? not a single major media source, with the exception of celticsblog writers , truly believe the celts can win the whole thing this year (majority have us bowing down to the heat in the conf finals, and this was prior to the DH12 trade). among the top 5 or 6 teams in the league, we are considered the underdog.

so really, no one really cares for his arrogance cause they dont see it as realistic.

Did it the year in Dallas when they beat Miami in the finals and backed it up...you have no point and are too superstitious...love the jets attitude
