  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Nene for Jeff Green? Could that work? Throw in Chris Singleton or Wilcox into the mix?

I would do that trade. Nene could play a Shaq role - He doesn't need to be skilled in the low block - just finish (which he is great at) around the basket like Shaq did. We were very dominant with Shaq - Nene could provide the same dominance. Not to mention he's a good defender as well.
I like Marcus Smart

Why does every one keep tossing Green in these trades? Especially in the Smith trades.

Pre Trades

PF's: KG(yes consider him a PF,he does),Bass,Sully,Wilcox

SF's Peirce,Green Joseph

Post

PF's KG,Bass,Smith,SullyWilcox

SF's Peirce,Joseph

A third of the team is PF's. Even if you take KG out and move him to the center spot, you still have 4 PF's to 2 SF's and one of them is a rookie.

I get bringing in a player like Smith or Nene, but if Peirce goes down, now you have to rely on Joseph to start. Lee is way too small to do it, and I don't think Smith is quick enough, and Nene is defiantly not.

I get having dream trades. I mean If you can Flip Bass and some thing else, heck even Bradley would  be huge for Smith. But I wouldn't want to hurt the teams depth in doing it. I think the Depth is bigger going into the playoffs, then a player like Smith,Jefferson,Nene ect.

An other thing is i don't think it would be wise for DA to trade Lee,Terry,Green this year, or even next unless they aren't playing well. He has to be careful not to be too trade happy or players wont come here. Lee took less money to come here, and you turn around and trade him in a few months. doesn't really entice players to come to Boston.

That's a nice wish list. Winning the lottery is at the top of
Mine but that isn't going to happen either.

i really like jeff green i think he's way more talented than what he showcased throughout the last part of the 2011 season and brief playoff stint , i would really like to give him a chance since we drafted him with our 5th pick after all. I think josh smith is a little bit better though, would you trade jeff green + a few pics for josh smith in the february trade deadline window if he's available ????

1.  Sacramento, DeMarcus Cousins - Will the  Kings ever relocate? They aren't winning...  Could explore his options in a couple of years.

2.  Utah, Paul Millsap - "Should I Stay Or Should I Go," by The Clash.

3.  Cleveland, Anderson Varejao - He seems to be a part of the team's plans going forward.  Howard, he could be had for the right offer I suspect.

i would be interested in

1. Josh Smith
2. Lamarcus Aldridge
3. Nicola Pekovic
4. Marcin Gortat
5. Anderson Varejao

I think we should value Aldridge over Smith because he's a much better scorer and in the team scheme his defense will be just about the same. Imo, Aldridge is simply a better player.

I forgot about Gortat I'd probably put him fourth. Since they're rebuilding, Phoenix might be willing to let him go for something like a filler, prospect and/or pick. I don't think the Twolves are going to trade Pekovic.
Aldridge is better and is locked up longer, which means it will cost a lot more to trade for him.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I think everyone is right that the worthwhile trade at mid season would be for a big PF (we have enough undersized PF) or a C.  L. Aldridge fits the bill perfectly but for that to be in the discussion, you probably need to be ready to trade Rondo.

I myself would do a trade that centered around getting Aldridge for Rondo so long as Bradley and Terry are healthy and playing well.  I know to most Cs fans this is heresy but I actually don't think Portland would even do it.

the roster looks pretty set for the next 3 years, with championship level talent.

Performance or chemistry concerns may well arise, but on paper the next 3 years look as bright as we could ask for.

Rondo, green, bradley, sully, lee, and melo should all get better every year given their ages.

I just hope danny uses the draft to get developmental internationals who can be ready to make an impact 3-4 years from now.

Either that or trade picks toward the future with the hope of moving up in the draft or with more picks.

I want Jason Smith. For a pick or some of our expendable big men maybe.

My realistic mid-season trade wish is that it is unnecessary for the Celtics to make a trade.

It depends how everyone improves and works together. It's not garunteed that this squad is going to even work anywhere as well as we're expecting. If we're on that level where every man is an essential piece to the equation then Id see no need to make a late trade. If not I'm prepared to trade for a big I'm assuming who would probably be smith and in that case I'd be willing to deal AB if that's what it'll take.

I agree that the list is somewhat realistic, but many of the trade scenarios presented aren't.

It's going to take more than us giving up our bench to land most of these guys.

For guys like Aldridge, it'd likely take Bradley, Green, and Sullinger, and that's with all 3 of them proving that they're good players.
