Apparently all the ESPN Boston contributers think  Rondo is/will be the (team) MVP this season.  Even Forsberg essentially admits it's Rondo.

I can absolutely see Rondo running a fast break offense quite a bit this season, with fantastic results.

Rondo took the loss to Miami personally.  You could see he had the same look in his eye as KG did.  I expect Rondo to again improve this year.

Seems like people generally think paul is better than rondo. Dont see much about the other top PGs.

Paul is a better shooter and thats it IMO

Rondo rebounds better, defends better and he is a better passer/playmaker period.

How many times have we argued that Rondo is as top 5 PG?

How many times has anyone had to argue that Chris Paul is a top 5 PG?
nobody thinks hes not a top 5 pg

im on the fence if he is top 5.  there are times i could make a case he is, and other times make a case why others could be ahead of him.

my biggst thing is his lack of consistency, not just game to game, but qtr to qtr.  when he is "on" he might be the best in the nba at pg

Which nba players do you think are consistent from quarter to quarter? Great players dominate games for stretches and (obviously) go through stretches in a game when they don't dominate. All good/great scorers do that.

When Rondo seems to be playing with less energy, is it because he doesn't care or is it because he doesn't have limitless energy and simply is physically unable to play at his best every single minute?

I tend to believe the latter, which is why I think anyone who thinks Rondo should be penciled in as playing 38 minutes every night is idiot, and I think Rondo needs to recognize when he isn't doing so well and not try to do as much on his off nights.  Also, Ainge needs to get Doc a legitimate playmaking backup point guard.

Rondo's the best rebounding point guard, the best passing point guard, the best defensive point guard and the best big game point guard. Still Chris Paul is at least equal to him because he does all of that almost as well as Rondo while having a Steve Nash like offensive capability. Still, Rondo is unquestionably the best PG in the East and could be debated as the best in the league but his mediocre shooting probably puts Paul to the top.
