Jeremy could have been a starter because of his fanbase if he stayed with the Knicks. Between Rondo and Dwill, I think Rondo gets the nod. He is more popular after all. Who knows? Drose might still get the starting position despite being sidelined. Just look at Tmac.

Well, let's see.

The starting PG's in the east are:

Atlantic:
Rondo, Williams, Felton, Holiday, Calderon

Central:
Hinrich, Irving, Knight, Hill, Jennings

Southeast:
Teague, Sessions, Chalmers/Wade?, Nelson, Wall

The bolded players have a good shot, and the italicized players have an outside shot, but still a shot. Yeah, I'd say it's either Rondo or Williams.

The All-Star Ballot is broken down by three positions (not five):  GUARD, FORWARD, CENTER.

Wade will be #1, but it's possible that Rondo could still be the #2 vote getter for guards in the East.

I hope Jrue Holiday makes the leap this year.  Coming out of HS, this kid was seen by scouts as the NBA's next best PG.  Hopefully he, Evan Turner, and Andrew Bynum can form a solid core in Philly.

Yeah, I can absolutely see Jrue making that leap. He was the last one I left out as not italicized. He's got a lot going for him.

I honestly think that Rondo will average closer to his playoff averages this year (18/12/6) and be the east's starting 1 as well as top 3 in the mvp
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

His MPG should go down this year, so I highly doubt he averages 18 PPG. But I think 12 APG is still possible with the shooters he has now. He won't attack the glass all season long to average 6, IMO.

I'll say 13/12/4.

He should start in the ASG, but DWill may get the NY vote now with the Knicks not having any worthy G's. I am glad Lin isn't in NY anymore, because he would be a lock regardless of his numbers.

Top 3 in MVP? Other than LeBron and Durant, there are no definite candidates. Kobe/Dwight won't be a factor because they play with each other, neither will Rose for obvious reasons. Don't see anyone on the Spurs/Nets/Grizz/Pacers/Mavs/Nuggets. Maybe Melo takes the next step? Maybe CP3 has a huge year with Griffin improving?

^you discount rondo but include cp3 in the race? rondo has way more weapons than cp3 does.

I think Rondo deserves it when considering the PG's in the east but as long as it's up to the fans to vote for the NBA starters it will just be a glorified popularity contest.  With the "revival" of the Nets coupled with their move to a major market city I have a hunch that Deron will get the most votes.

The All Star game is a popularity contest. Even though I think he deserves it, his perceived cockiness would turn alot of fans off

I believe that his perceived cockiness, along with his enigma status, is a large part of why Rondo is one of the more popular players in the league now.  Jersey sales for #9 are very high, and only going up.  So yeah, I think this is the year for him to start the ASG and finish behind Lebron/Durant in the MVP voting.
