Bynum is a good player, but he's trash when it comes to teammates , he swear at them to get the ball, he'll hold the ball in the paint when he doesn't have an easy way to score, also he gets frustrated wayyyy to easily, he'll tear that locker room up in seconds and will tear the chemistry apart.......

what u guys think?

we dont "have to beat philly" we just need to get seeded for the playoffs. division battles are irrelevant and dont matter at all.

oh and bynum is horrible. he'll probably refuse to play since the sixers are all crappy role players

Bynum is definitely not trash.  In the 7 games near the end of last season when Kobe was out and Bynum was featured on offense more this is what he did:

Game 1 – 23, 18 boards (7 offensive)
Game 2 – 18, 11 boards (4 offensive)
Game 3 – 16, 30 boards (8 offensive)
Game 4 – 30, 8 boards (3 offensive)
Game 5 – 23, 16 boards (5 offensive)
Game 6 – 21, 7 boards (0 offensive)
Game 7 – 31, 9 boards (1 offensive)

7 wins, 2 losses during that span (and that includes wins over the Spurs, Nuggets and Mavs.)

That's good for an average of 23 and 14 and I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that he'll average somewhere close to that for the season now that he'll be a focal point of Philly's offense.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Bynum's problem is that he wont play with the Celtics. If he was ours, we would love him, thrashy or not.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

I agree that Bynum seems like he has some mental stuff he needs to overcome to be a truly dominant player in the league.  But questionable behavior/motivation aside, how can you call him "horrible" with a straight face.  He's either the first or second best Center in the whole league.  He averaged 19 pts, 12 rbds, and 2 blks per game last season.

Seriously, "horrible?"  Shawne Williams is horrible, Brian Scalabrine is horrible, Gerald Green is horrible.

Bynum most certainly isn't.

dwight howard is a contender for best player in the league. how can you even remotely call bynum best center when he isnt even a top 10 player?

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

He isn't a top 10 player, but he's a top 2 center.

In some ways, he's as valuable as a top 10 player, even though he isn't.
I like Marcus Smart

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Bynum's not trash, he's just very immature. He's a superior talent who doesn't seem to always give his best or care all too much. Now that I think about it Bynum and Doug Collins probably won't work, but if it does Philly will be a problem. I don't think Bynum signs an extension with Philly and if he doesn't Danny will be waiting in the wings with players contracts prospects and picks...

Because offensively Bynum is much better, and Dwight has attitude issues just like Bynum does.  I still think Dwight is the better player but it's pretty close, and we haven't really gotten to see what Bynum can do when he is the go-to player in an offense (and the numbers from the small sample size we have are pretty astounding).

If Bynum has matured and will listen to Doug Collins then he could ERUPT and be THE dominant center as he is a basketball player and Dwight Howard is a great athlete.  Bynum has shown in all instances to be a punk.  Yes he's young and can change.  Doug Collins is in the vein as doc rivers, he can get the best out of a young guy IF THEY LISTEN.  See  Michael Jordan - Doug Collins duel.  For more recent years see Lebron James - Paul Silas.

I can see now that your power of hyperbole is far too strong for my power of reason so I will respectfully conclude my participation in this thread.  ;D
