to Howards credit, he is a gym rat. I expect he come back to form or close eventually.  The problem is "time" for the LAkers  Nash IS old and Kobe turns 34 in a week.  Kobe already looks a bit slow from the olympics.

When Nash retires ,surely the plan is to STEAL , kidnapp , horsetrade to get CP3 ... so eventually the LAkers will get  CP3 and Howard on the same team.  They ALWAYS get what they want.

Hopefully OKC/Spurs can handle LA for the next two years , till Nash goes away and Kobe is reduced to being an average player at 36 yrs old. He becomes a liability money/ and playing wise from there on out. PRAY>

Then it will be Howard and CP3 show. ANd who ever else other than Bron maybe they want.

Will the LAKERS luck hold out?

Not sure how Paul becomes a Laker.

Anything is possible, but they will have no cap room to sign him next year. He will sign an extension with someone this coming off-season and thus make Max Money on a long term deal. This means he would have to be acquired via trade for LA to get him.

Just can't see what kind of assets they would have in order to acquire Paul in the next few years.

I wish the Celtics could get Brendan Heywood for his (alleged) knowledge of how to punch Dwight Howard in the back.

They have Gasol and Nash. If the Clips are going to lose Chris Paul this summer, they're going to want something back.  There are teams that would give up assets to get Gasol and/or Nash, if those players weren't to the Clips' liking.

Let's hope for a career-ending setback to his recovery.
Easy Leonard.  Go easy man.

They can't do sign and trades though, can they? Not sure they could trade CP3 after the trade deadline passes. I don't see them trading him before that. Nor do I see the Lakers trading Pau AND Nash before the deadline.
