Brown is not a credible coach. You do not gain credibility by picking up LeBron's laundry.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
What is the "weakest" position on the Boston Celtics? Center. What is the strongest position now on the Philadelphia 76'ers and the LA Lakers, Center?

I am not saying why bother in terms of not liking the Celtics anymore or what Danny did in the offseason, I am saying why bother because it seems no matter what the Celtics do, it will never be good enough. And, how many times are the Lakers going to end up with a deal where they get the best end? I know they gave up Bynum, but this is a sweet deal for them.

Unless Nash breaks down, I see the Lakers in the finals next year. And, the Celts are going to have their hands full with a Philly team that features Bynum.

I'm not remotely worried about the Sixers right now. There's just too many x-factors there: can Turner step his game up? Can Bynum stay healthy? Even if Bynum stays healthy, will he be able to keep his attitude in check? Can coach Collins bring all the personalities on this team together?

With that said, its obnoxious that the Lakers always seem to have their pick of star players. Seems like they always land on their feet no matter what. I'm over it.

Bring on Josh Smith.

I'd love to have Bynum on the C's.  The only issue that might pop up is maturity.  Doc and the vets don't tolerate that kind of stuff.

It is hard to be in competition with a team that gets gifted star player after star player.
Their luck has to run out somewhere. We got lucky that Wilt didn't pan out with them but every other time it has been disaster for the league. I don't understand why people want to make the Lakers better.

You both know the Celtics have more titles than the Lakers, right?  Man, how much would you be crying if you were Wizards or Kings fans?  Geez.  Put the tissues down already.

We've been on borrowed time thanks to Russell's titles. Fakers are right behind us with 16. People are acting like Howard to the Lakers doesn't matter. It sure as heck does if we meet them in the Finals.

Lol think what you'd like but I'm going to enjoy this season more than ever. The talent of the 2008-11 teams (when healthy) and the heart of the 2012 team. Sorry the Lakers are apparently masters of manipulation and can pull of hijacks like this. We did the same with Houston to get Courtney Lee and form the best backcourt in the game. This game is fun, not a chore... Especially in a year when our team has as good a shot as any. Lighten up.

TP to everyone who's like "EY! THE GUY WHO STARTED THE THREAD! SHUSH! I'M GONNA ROOT FOR MY TEAM NO MATTER WHAT!"

And great point by Shak. No matter how bad your team is, you're supposed to have their back. That's what being a fan is about.

Perkins will become invaluable if the deal goes through.  OKC will be pleased they have him.  Foresight on Presti's behalf, maybe?

I talked to that fool two years ago and he knew dwight would be a laker just like Shaquille. Didn't want to believe him. This is trash. La gets the weakest trades. This is worse then the gasol trade. There is no Marc gasol in this deal.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I'm not concerned at all.

OKC is not going anywhere. Spurs are not going anywhere. Denver with Iggy is a very good team. And I can make the case, that if Bogut and Steph is healthy, the Warriors, with how deep they are, can give anyone in the West a run for their money.

Not worried at all one bit.  I'm more worried about Philly, Bynum is primed for maybe a monster year now that he's "the man". And Philly has studs in that lineup as well.

I don't care who the Lakers sign, or who the Sixers have, or who Orlando might be getting, or what David Stern thinks, or blah blah blah South Beach blah blah whatever. No one is good enough to beat the Cs this season. Man I can't wait to see the smile on KGs face when he gets his second ring!  ;D

Why? Perkins is pretty terrible nowadays anyhow. He's certainly not scaring anybody.

You will not see Spurs or Thunder in Finals for a long time with the team the Lakers have. All they need now is a coach

Dwight will leave in the off-season.  Nash and Kobe will be hanging it up soon, and the Lakers will be left with a middle aged Pau Gasol and nothing else.  I ain't that worried about their next dynasty.

I wish that were the case. If precedence means anything, what will probably happen is when Nash and Bryant retire it will conveniently be the same year that CP3 and Harden are both FA.
