I am kind of shocked for all the love for Kevin Love. I just don't see how he can be included in the top yet when he's won nothing, been on bad team after bad team and never was able to make that team significantly better by himself.

He's a top 15 player for sure. He's not a top ten.

Yeah I was confused by this as well. If I was starting a team he would not be one of my top ten.

Horrific defender as well

He's not horrific, he's just bad, and getting better/smarter.

I think he's a top ten talent that has a hard time transferring that to wins.

Difference between top 10 (outside the MVP caliber guys) and top 15 isn't a big one very subjective anyways.

James
Durant
Paul
Howard - if healthy
Rose - if healthy
Dirk
Wade - if Healthy
Love
Williams
Kobe

Rondo is not on the list yet for me. I think I would trade Rondo for all those players if we are talking for just a season. Obviously age would be factored in for more then just a season.

I think howard and Rose might be off this list next year with their injuries. Also Wade was a shell of himself in the post season. LeBron really had to pick up the majority of the slack when Bosh went down and I thought Rondo out played Wade in the ECF. The guy for whatever reason never came to play until halftime and seemed to perform worse as playoff series went on.

Kobe at ten seems right. Age has caught up with him. And I can see an argument for Griffin, Rondo, Bynum, and Westbrook all being top ten guys.

I don't like Pau Gasol. I think I would rather take his brother and Aldridge over him. I would rather have Pierce and KG over him too.

I agree which is why I left him off my overall list.  Pau Gasol is easily a better player even though I was disappointed with his lack of assertiveness regarding Kobe last year and his poor playoff performance.

Last year though, Love was just amazing.  Top 4 in scoring, top 2 in rebounds, and most double doubles, while shooting 45%, 37% from 3 (2 per game), and 82% at the line from the PF position.

I for one excessively overrate winning, but I can't make that argument for Love.  It's not even like this is an all star team, it's an all-NBA.  Did people think Durant wasn't a top 10 player when he was leading teams to even WORSE records 3 years ago?

Also one more thing worth mentioning.  It's one thing to downplay accomplishments by guys like Monta Ellis and Kevin Martin because they're not on a fair playing field.  Scoring 30 points on a horrible team is easy, but getting 30 rebounds on a horrible team?  You can't take away from that.  Kevin Love isn't handed extra opportunities, he creates them.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

When you factor in the rebounding and the passing along with the shooting and scoring I think he is definitely a top ten guy.

I think when judging top ten talent a case has to be made that they are so good they raise their team as a whole to another level. Durant only had 2 losing seasons and his teams have been winners ever since.

Kevin Love has never won more than 26 games in one year in his first four years in the league. Top ten players have to be able to play defense and he's a very poor defender. This might be what is holding back his team(that and the fact management in Minnesota is inept).
